Hotel Gabriel Calangute beach — Hotel in Goa

Hi.. This is my 7th trip to GOA and after a detailed observation. The interaction experience I had here I have been through that before so I did not get into argument as we were exhausted and tired after a long drive... As soon as we entered I requested them to show me the room but they insisted I show them my I'd first and do the formalities. And after that they showed me a room which has the same paint same bed same as it is in the picture the only differences, it was maintained and cleaned few years back it was an VERY OLD SMELLING ROOM. They had to say this the price what we have paid and this is the room what we get (THE DISCOUNT FOR US WAS FROM GOIBIBO WHICH THEY WILL GET SETTLED BY GOIBIBO) But that was put on us that this discounted price is for this type of OLD ROOM. (They sed AT THIS PRICE WE NORMALLY JUST GET ONE BED HOW CAN I GIVE U A ROOM!! THAT THEY SHOULD ASK THE WEBSITE WHO IS SELLING US THERE ROOMS) Anyhow when I confronted about the photographs on the website they had to say Those are very old photographs which haven't been updated so there is a discount!! (REALLY GOIBIBO). And at the same time I was offered a better room for 1500Rs extra. When I asked them to show me that room at first they denied and said it is definitely better than this trust me This were there words. But we insist that we had to see the room and room was not anywhere close to the photographs shown but too exhausted to continue this so we just went ahead and settled for the 2nd room which was poorly maintained but decently clean small but no RCC roofing the roof was built in sheets and covered with pop ceiling the AC was I am not sure how many years old but it managed to work. The toilet was not bad and clean. The sleeping matress was conferrable. TO CONCLUD ALL.. THEY HAVE 2 BUILDINGS ONE OLD AND ONE NEW.. AND IN THE OLD BUILDING THERE ARE BAD ROOMS AND OK TYPE ROOMS. ( Now what they really do is based on the price u have pade and the amount of discount you have got from the website they Hustle so they can sell there bad room's.!! Or u get a option to pay extra for a better room..!! (Which are not actually that better) I am a business man and I understand business when I see one. And I saw the same happening to few other groups.. lol May be they had a discount to and they were definitely...

I booked a non-ac room from makemytrip on 2-Dec-2021. I selected the room because the price was very good and I need to stay till 7 PM to catch my return bus to Bangalore. The room looks good in makemytrip site(supposed to have good ventilation, supposed to get a tv, neat and clean bedsheet and supposed to have power backup). Then the reality came at the time of checkin, they gave me a room(second room in the first floor, right hand side) which was completely opposite. There was no window(two windows are there but you cant open them) which you can open, there was no tv, the bedsheets were not white bedsheet( as shown in the pic and some age old cloths), and there was no power backup. When I called the owner for power he said power backup is only for night. If it is for night only then you should not mention as has "power backup" in makemytrip. This is misleading. And as there is no window, when the power goes off the room becomes a black box. I did not argue much because I have to stay till 7 pm only. But my point was simple, I booked after seeing the pics only in makemytrip and if the things were described correctly I would not have selected this hotel at all, so it is a misleading information and looting. I was trapped hope you will not be trapped by seeing the room photos in makemytrip. I don't know why it is difficult to do good business by making...

First read all reviews from past days. Out of 10 customer 9 will tell you all the bad things they experienced.

And important thing, 9 people who are new will never says false thing, If you observe only some person will put good reviews, that is also hotel guy and their relatives itself .LoL Do not pay them any Amount, both husband and wife will con you. Husband hides inside house and ask you to leave hotel through his wife and staff. if you pay them money, they will not refund you and also do not allocate any room to you. Also they will harm you physically and slander you.

Also The man and the women who is his wife aslo have too much haughtiness. The rooms are untidy. They are impolite people. They literally call the guests horrible names. They shouldn't be able to maintain this hotel business. What a horrible place. Please avoid going here. My main piece of advise. If you publish honest reviews about him, he would respond with some fabricated and fictitious story to explain his awful behavior. All of his positive ratings (which are all 100% true) come from family members or locals, not tourists.
