Cafe sonam family restaurant and bar — Restaurant in Goa

Decide to have dinner here cause of good reviews. Ordered for a chicken biryani and told the waiter to get some onion and lime on side of it. Brought it after 80% of our meal completed & didn't brought raita (which supposed to come with biryani) but got it after repeating 3-4 times & that too afterwards which we finished our dinner.(we returned it as it was useless). There was no one on floor for most of the time & they take lime half an hour for whichever food you ask.(we asked for masala omlette after biryani as quantity was very less) they wee were waiting for omelette for such a long time as if they were waiting for hen to lay an egg. We got it after half an hour and there was no masala on it whatsoever but instead alotta cheese. (Picture below) The egg was tasting like as if it's rotten & the taste was really weird. They didn't even asked for water the whole time we were sitting. When we asked for regular water in glass, they gave a bottle out of fridge saying it's room temperature even after we said ki water is too cold (my colleague had a bad tooth) and still kept insisting the same. Finally we got room temperature water (without glass so we had to drink directly from bottle). Asked for the bill and that we got quicker than anything else. Wouldn't recommend this for food & service whatsoever. I don't know how people even go...

It's a must visit bar and restaurant in Siolim that serves mouthwatering seafood, fish thali and multi cuisine food. The fish thali here starts at just Rs 150/- and comes with 8+ delicacies. We tried their rachedo kingfish, prawns rava fry and chicken tawa fry and everything here was so mouthwatering. Specially the prawns were so fresh and crispy and chicken tawa fry was so juicy. Highly Recommended. In drinks they have lot's of options in cocktails, mocktails and other drinks. In desserts the authentic Goan bebinca with ice cream is must try here.

Cafe Sonam is a nice restaurant bar in Siolim situated on the riverside close to the Siolim fish market.

We sat upstairs to enjoy the view & feel the cool breeze. Nice ambiance upstairs with some music playing in the background.

We ordered 2 Chonak fish Thalis, prawns fry, chicken Xacuti, rotis & 2 Virgin Mojitos. Mojitos were refreshing & really hit the spot on a hot day. Our fish Thalis were filling & satisfying.... only the sabzi dish in the thali was slightly underwhelming. The Xacuti was alright. The prawns were fantastic although this item took a while to make it to our table. Big, juicy & spicy and the plate could easily be shared by 2 people.

Overall we enjoyed the food & the experience plus the prices were reasonable...
