Biryani was good. However the chicken burger gave me the shits on my first day in North Goa and has ruined my time here. (Yes I know it was stupid to order a chicken burger here - i stupidly thought i was at another place nearby which is known for their burgers.) Still, this should never happen. I strongly advise against. Also the chicken burger i ate looked nothing at all like the picture on their menu. It was a processed frozen patty. Don't know why they don't just use the same fresh chicken they put in the biryani. Severely disappointed and typing this on the toilet 😓 Just glad it tasted so bad that i only ate half...

We chose Charlie's as it had one of the highest ratings in the area, not sure why. Few staff, but the young man who served us was polite and attentive enough. There was no atmosphere so much, it was essentially empty. The real issue was what we went for, the food. The pesto pasta was definitely not pesto, rather a thin green sauce with a touch of basil. The prawn biryani was terrible though. Half unseasoned pilau rice, half rice in a thick sauce that, though it had evidence of other flavours being used, tasted only of cloves, and so strongly that it stuck in my mouth for hours. First of all . Thank you Leo for your great hosting. More than me my fur babies loved it .Nowdays It is very difficult to find a pet friendly hotel or cafe . However , I loved this place . The way their staff greeted and welcomed my fur babies . They did not hesitate to Offer them food or bowl of water . The way they asked me , Mam what would they like to eat ? They made my trip .
