My actual rating is 4.5/5. The ambiance and view are bang on Santorini, as Greece-y as Goa could possibly get, which is a whole LOT. Blue + white + glorious sea+ great food + amazing drinks = winner! Open all year round, the place is a sure shot mood lifter. When the sun's out, the hammocks come out running too. Their jazz music was charming, it's tempo - just right. One of my best birthdays and I've had 29!
They have an indoor as well as alfresco dining area, the latter becomes more or less redundant when the monsoon unleashes itself. There are about 7-8 tables and several bar stools indoors, reservations seem mandatory on any given weekend.
Foodwise - we overate :P
Sangria : great, was sufficiently strong.
Bloody Mary : My friend absolutely loved his drink.
Focaccia bread with an olive side dish : This was a complimentary portion to sample and offer feedback. The olives were perfectly marinated in what seemed like a truffle based oil, the bread was fresh. A spectacular combination.
Crispy calamari : 3 kinds - deep fried, wafer and sesame panko. The rechado mayo stole the show here.
Shakshouka : poached eggs on a bed of tomato based gravy, middle eastern in origin. Interesting and really filling. And you get poie too. Recommended.
Chick pea and potato hash : if you're a potato and poie fan, go for it.
Beef carpaccio : really, really mind blowing. Transported us mentally to a cute, roadside cafe in Europe. Tip - Ask them in advance not to spread the cheese sauce on the carpaccio, instead to serve it separately so you can add it as you please. Highly recommended.
Red snapper with mango salsa : The snapper was raw, very thinly sliced like the carpaccio. It's an acquired taste, I personally am not a fan but my friends devoured it.
Roasted chicken cafreal poie : I felt I had to have the freshly baked Goan poie. But this was strictly ok. The cafreal flavor didn't come through and tasted like any other roasted chicken.
The restaurant was out of prawns so couldn't order the prawn and avocado poie which was my first choice. Also, there was no time or space for dessert. Spent...
Read moreI visited this place on 30th September 2025 and had one of the most disappointing experiences ever. The staff’s behavior was shockingly unprofessional and discriminatory.
I have stayed and been to Taj, ITC, Vibe, Hyatt, Windmill Craftworks and some more 5 -star places in Dubai as well but never experienced this kind of scenario.
1st incident: When we arrived, a couple was seated at a particular table. After they left, a family with a child requested the same spot. To my surprise, the waiter refused and told them that the seat is reserved for large gatherings, which is a lie since that rich man with his escort was sitting there for the last 45 mins. I personally overheard this, and it was appalling to witness such open bias.
2nd incident: I asked the waiter to clarify whether the pepperoni pizza was made with chicken (as it often is in Bengaluru) or pork. Instead of answering politely, he mocked me and, in a condescending tone, said “pepperoni is pork!”
Also, there was a cat roaming around the restaurant climbing on the chairs and around food which might be acceptable for some blind cat lovers but not to us. Even after we requested them to remove her they didnt pay heed.
A true 5- star would have never treated their customers in this manner!
For a place that is overpriced and seems to pride itself on serving only so-called “high-class” customers, the management clearly misunderstands what true class and elegance mean. True high-class service is defined by courtesy, respect, and inclusivity — qualities that were entirely absent here.
Overall, a demeaning and unpleasant experience. I would not recommend this...

So this place was on our wishlist since a long time!! WE visited Goa after 2 years and in these 2 years we saw many posts/ stories on IG and FB about Olives. We had booked a table through dineout but our car tyre got punctured so we reached really late. Upon reaching, we were told we cannot get a table as it was not available. WE thought to check the place once and come back later. Then luckily, we were given a table which we feel was the best table because we could have an amazing view from their!! The bar is located on Vagator beach and interiors of this place is AMAZING!! Rich, classy and Elegant at same time. We tried lot of food over here: Goat cheese pizza (jain)- The crust of pizza, the pizza sauce and the veggies- baked to its perfection!! Cheesy pizza indeed!!! Mix sauce penne pasta (jain)- We loved the mix sauce which was cooked really well. Thick and creamy!! Penne pasta boiled and mixed really well!! Watermelon wowzer cocktail- Watermelon juice with rum- served in a good quantity- perfect cocktail to be shared among a group of friends.
