MINUS RATINGS 🤬😡
Don’t go for the high number of reviews and consider to go Curlies, this place is done and dusted, a place beyond its prime now of past.. the place is outdated rusty and without vibe like before, after those scandals and closure of Curlies during Covid times and reopening again with hypocrite staff without any hospitality experience this place is a headache to visit now..
I’ve literally seen people walking out of CURLIES more compared to the people actually sitting after paying that hoax scamming 500rs entry charge per person with disappointment within minutes..
Wish there were minus ratings.. this place is done and dusted and beyond any hope for enjoyment.. I’ve been to Goa 15 times and been to curlies 5 times atleast till date.. the experience keeps deteriorating every single time.. the recent being the horrific one…
I’ve been with young group of people this time and the staff is blunt and annoying and the over the top rude in talking to you about anything.. they have tried every single measure of scamming us in order to get us fake billed in items which we didn’t even agreed upon while ordering…
Firstly they charge Hoax money in the name of entry fee per person 500 which has no benefits, not even a proper dance floor where either no one is dancing or just 3-4 drunkards dancing carelessly.. do not waste money here..
We ordered hookah which was supposed to be atleast 1 hour and 2 refills atleast, but was literally snatched from us by the staff without our permission when it wasn’t even 40mins on clock since starting.. and when argued they didn’t even provide a genuine explanation but rather blamed us that it’s almost 1.5hours and said bluntly your times up, which was false..
Secondly we ordered WHOLE KING FISH bargaining prior to sitting in table for 2000Rs which they also misinterpreted and showed 2500rs in bill,
Further more they gave us wrong order of Garlic bread when we ordered garlic naan, they gave us two Rice dishes when we ordered only 1 rice dish, all these chaos in single night happened and which when counter argued with staff they threatened us with consequences and threats of beating if not paid the said false bill price by them which was wrong and unethical as per hospitality standards..
The matter worsened in argument and eventually I threatened them to take this matter of scamming to consumer court, which then the manager stepped in and tried to sort out the matter explaining false narration in favour of his rude staff and not ready to accept mistakes of his untrained staff and instead calling us drunkards and what not, eventually we ended up paying the middle price since we are tourists and don’t wanna end fighting legal matters with this hypocritical restaurant and their false claims and illegitimate behaviour of local Goan staff who do not even have hospitality experience and moved on for the night..
I highly discredit CURLIES beach shack for any local or international tourists anymore.. better spend your time somewhere else than fall in scam or trap.. the staff the manager both are Hooligans and miscreants.. better look for your own safety.. DO NOT GO WITH...
Read moreCurlies Beach Shack as the name suggests it's a shack on the Anjuna Beach ⛱️ Goa. The place is famous for its crowd and view 🪟 however I did not really like it. The place is in North Goa, we visited here to enjoy the party 🎉 however even the staff 🧑💼 was not fully aware about it.
The service 🧑💼 is really bad, the waiter won't notice or listen 👂 to you. They are more interested where someone is spending a good amount of money 💰 on the table ordering hookah, ordering expensive 🫰 drinks etc. or the table shall be full of girls then they will roam around even if you don't want to order. Either they don't have the staff 🧑💼 enough or the work is not organised, table is not assigned to the waiters. I felt unwelcome once the table was assigned and we said we are not looking for hookah but a good food and some light drinks 🍻 the waiter lost interest on our table.
The washrooms 🚽 are not that clean and sitting 🪑 area near the beach 🏖️ is not maintained. The food 🍛 really sucks, we tried many many things from cheese balls 🧀, to paneer stick 🍡, honey 🍯 chilli potato 🥔 etc. not of it worked. The taste was so bad that we chose not to eat it. There was no proper hygiene 🪥, a proper maintenance, cleanliness 🫧, a good management is require to get this restaurant on its foot again.
I would not like to visit here again, I felt it's not worth the money 🤑. It's only famous because of the beach shack, and it's an evening party 🎉 where a lot of foreigners do come maybe due to this they get enough crowd so they stopped caring about...
