Read moreI recently came across a review praising the hospitality and overall experience at Makani even during their closure period, and I felt compelled to share my thoughts in support of that review.
During my visit to Makani last month, I was pleasantly surprised by the ground security dedication to ensuring that guest felt welcomed, despite its closure. Though many establishments might struggle to maintain service quality during such time, the person named Avi truly stood out.
From the moment I arrived, I was greeted with genuine warmth. The hosts went above and beyond to make sure I was comfortable, providing updates on Goa and even suggesting nearby spots to explore while waiting for my free water. His attentiveness was commendable, showing a commitment to customer experience that you rarely find. What truly struck me was the resilience and positivity of the staff. Despite the challenges posed by the closure, they maintained a cheerful demeanor that enhanced our experience. It was evident that they valued each customer and wanted to create memorable moments, even amidst the chaos.
In conclusion, I wholeheartedly support the sentiments expressed in the review I read. Makani is a testament to what excellent hospitality looks like, even when faced with the hurdles. I look forward to returning once it re-opens but I won’t forget the exceptional service I received during this transitional phase. Kudos to him for making the experience...
Read moreI wish there was an option of negative rating for the service and staff, specially to the manager Ankit (if thats the correct name he gave me after the entire fiasco) and staff member Tukaram. Not sure why this place even has a manager when a mid-week booking during off-season cannot be managed well.
We were a large group of 10 including a baby and a toddler. I had called to book a beach side table a day prior and was told about the cover charges for the secluded beach side table. I was even ready to pay the cover charges immediately online in advance to confirm the table and told them the same. But I was told that they have taken my reservation and need not pay in advance. But when we reached, not only was our table already given to some other group, but we were offered another section where there were people smoking and having hookah, which was very insensitive for the manager to even suggest considering we had a kid and a toddler with us. We were there for a celebration event and this experience spoiled the experience for us, and the arrogance of the manager on top of it was the cherry on the cake (read sarcastic). While the location was good and the food and drinks average, but this experience just spoiled whatever good the place had to offer! When we even complained to the manager, he seemed to only defend his position than show any sort of empathy. My first and now only experience in Makani. Way to spoil a special occasion...
