I had the most memorable time of my life here.

We went to Goa to celebrate our anniversary and it was truly a wonderful stay- Hotel De Baga was very helping. One particular staff- Ms Ankita in the reception helped with a lot of things. She helped with Combo Package of Scuba diving; Helped with arranging the room with flowers, rose petals and a cake for anniversary celebration (this happened without my wife’s knowledge); Ankita suggested us to go to CopperLeaf for lunch (fish Thali was too good to miss- everyone must eat Fish Thali there); Comfortable Taxi to Airport; Places to Visit in Goa; amongst other things.

Will visit Goa again and only stay at this hotel. Bed was comfortable. We had a pool facing deluxe room. Bed was comfortable; brightness can be improved in the room.

One problem that no one could rectify was continuous “teeeeeeeee” sound coming from tv after brief intervals. No one could fix it so we avoided watching tv and instead spent time outside room- which was good for Goa’s sake.

If you wish to buy Kajus then only buy from wholesale shops and don’t buy cheaper one as it would be an effort to take them to consumable stage.

Features:- Parking is available 24*7 kitchen Food is good - ambience is good Swimming pool- we couldn’t use; we floated, swam for 2-3 hours in Arabian Sea. It was easy to climb and get down from boat. They use a staircase of some type with an area to stand in the water - 4feet deep approx. On the main road so better connectivity.

Scuba Diving:- ferry can take you back by 2:30pm but you should stay till 5pm and use your safety vest to float in the water. It’s fun... Carry one mobile, some hand towels in bag, some cash and leave remaining things at hotel. Wear chappals or flip flops, hat too and take a small bag for keeping your hat and other things. Do try to keep a bag which can be locked so that you can keep your phone while you and your partner/group are busy floating. After scuba diving, wait for sometime and transfer all pictures to your mobile before going anywhere else. They share only via android devices through shareit. Don’t carry expensive stuff. They allow you to jump with whatever you are wearing so wear sensibly if you want to. Ladies wear a shirt with buttons so that you can close the higher ones as per your convenience. I’m sorry to say but this is one area which leaves a lot of ogling from boys/men. Anyone can float. Learn basic arms and legs movements before going floating on your own. I knew swimming so it was difficult for me and easy for my wife. She had some serious fun floating. Her smile while floating is embedded in my memory and also in one of the images I asked someone to take. The quality of life under water wasn’t good but we got what we paid for, in the end 🤣

Note to other travellers: I have travelled to Goa three times. Stayed in Backwaters area of Baga & South Goa (with group; 1st time), North Goa (near Candolim beach; 2nd time) and North Goa (De Baga; 3rd time). Best stay for couples, groups, individuals would be at a hotel on the main road on Baga calangute road. There is a lot of movement of people at this stretch. Don’t take a hotel in backwaters as it’s hard to reach without cab and not a good place for midnight stroll. Bus driver who dropped us after scuba package, didn’t drop the travellers to backwaters area so it was difficult for them to reach...

I had visited Goa in full pack season without prior booking, after searching alot of hotels we finalized this one for the next day as it was not available the same day. That guy at reception showed me one big amazing room for which I locked my booking and while booking he told me "tomorrow I'll give you a much better room with balcony" I was like awesome and paid him advanced. The next day when I checked in, room was with balcony no doubt, but was very small, even it was not as attractive as the one I saw, it was in the very corner as well, so I called the reception that I'm not liking it, the lady on phone told he'll give me a call in while, I waited for 10mins then finally I went down and saw he was gossiping on his phone knowing about the fact that I'm waiting for his call back. Anyways, when I explained what's things are not looking good for us that time he told that he is not having any other room that's why he gave me this, where has I was not at all told about this, still when I was upset with all this and his tone of talking, he's whispering to the lady next to him in Marathi (assuming that i won't understand) "I should have not helped her only". It was that moment when I lost completely and asked him that you've not helped me, I'm paying you the amount you asked, you're just doing your job no social cause for free. Later he became further rude asked me to take my money back and go, he was very well aware about the fact that it's full season, no rooms are available, and he saw me struggling a day...

This was my first trip to Goa. We chose the hotel "De Baga Deck Comfort" for a memorable trip.||||We stayed at this hotel for 3 nights. The stay at this property was a nightmare.||||||The staff, especially the reception staff (one of them is hotel manager), are arrogant, obnoxious and rude. One of the receptionist told me that "You don't know English so don't try to write a review on Tripadvisor."||||They have tried to charge for low-quality swimming costume for no good reason.They can harass you at any time.||||The room was very small for 3 people. For a 3rd person, they did not provide any bed one low-quality mattress was provided though we had provided full money for 3 adults. ||||No chair or table was provided in the room. If you want to eat some food you have to sit down on the floor. ||||No proper lighting in the room. If you want to eat some non-veg items in the room you will be in trouble. ||||Only 2(500 ml) bottles of water were provided per day. Apart from that, they were giving purified water until 12 AM.
