Brilliant place. Amazing ambience along with incredible food and drink makes this place an unforgettable experience.
The area makes for a very relaxing time as you can chill and listen to some good music while sipping on your cocktail. It makes for a much needed relaxed experience, away from the blaring noise and lights of Goa. Need a place to just eat in peace? Jukebox is for you.
The staff are incredible at preparing and serving food. Serving food and drinks on packed nights might be troublesome for most, but not these guys. Buland and Priya, who man the kitchen, make some of the most incredible food I have had in a long while. The bartender, whose name I unfortunately couldn't grab, was an expert with his work and we simply couldn't skip the cocktail anytime we entered the establishment.
Finally the highlight of the restaurant, the food. Making some of the finest pizzas and pide in town, it seems like there is no rival for these guys. The potato wedges are the most unexpected and incredible beginning to an experience that is this food.
Dabbling into the world of fermentation, they make some incredible sourdough with perfectly cooked pizzas. The black garlic tart is the perfect end to this meal and only leaves us wanting for more.
Overall, probably the best place in Fontainhas, Panaji and all of India. Makes for an incredible dinner time experience.
Yearly update - It has been a year since I came here and I will give my update
Last time I came with friends, this time I came with family. And the service has only gotten better.
Thanks to all the new faces at Jukebox for some brilliant service once again. A special thanks to our host whom I've unfortunately forgotten their name (I believe it was Manovar, sorry if I got it wrong). She gave a warm welcome and a lovely and proactive service through the night.
A big thanks to Lucy and Mani for some of the lovely drinks. Even though the menu changed a lot after a year, the drinks were a banger as usual. Clearly my family couldn't help but get seconds and thirds.
And thanks to Shaleen (hope I got the name right), who ran up and down despite a busy night and being a top server for the night.
As always Buland, you get the last thanks. Your food has only gotten better over the course of a year. I can only imagine how you'd surpass this current version when I come next year for another unforgettable experience. Ambience has been brilliant as ever, never let that die out.
See you again next year or...
Read moreI visited 'For the record' last weekend despite heavy rains in Goa, as I was only here for a short while and wanted to check out this much hyped place. Concept & ambience: 5 stars Cocktails: 5 stars Food: 3 stars Service: 0 This bar got everything right, but the poor service ruins it all. Fantastic menu, cool music vibe, however the attitude of the staff made me leave soon after one drink and an appetizer. We ordered a 'pide', and after about 30 minutes of wait (which is already long) I had to follow up with the waiter. The waiter responds very casually 'we take 30 minutes to prepare a pide as it takes time to make a bolognese sauce" (sounds ridiculous) When the waiter was asked why we weren't informed of this at the time of ordering, he shrugs and runs off. One hour later, we are STILL WAITING for a pide, which is a boat shaped stuffed bread. The waiter at this point is casually socializing with another customer, and couldn't care less on the fact that another table is having to follow up multiple times on One APPETIZER! The waiter literally looks at us, and turns away. The manager delivers the appetizer to us after the one hour wait. There is not a shred of apology/explanation from any rep on such a long delay to serve one dish! There were barely 5 tables occupied that night, so cant even blame the delay on a busy night! I have lived in the middle east for 20+ years, know what a pide is, and know how it's made. It definitely should not be taking over an hour. Clearly, there seem to be some operational issues here which the staff seem to be very non chalant about! I have read the other reviews on poor customer service, and I endorse this. Its such a shame, because i would have loved to explore so much more of this menu. I refuse to patronize a restaurant that exhibits such hautiness and lacks bare minimum...
Read moreA lovely place but for the attitude of the staff. They don't tell you when the last order is and then refuse to take orders. That's fine, but then you see them liberally pouring drinks for guests who they favour after refusing to take your order.
Updating my review in response to the owner's reply: I understand you have to make excuses to defend your establishment but here are the facts and I have no incentive to make up stuff to post here: no one came to my table to tell me it was the last order. I took a picture of your menu and nowhere does it say when the last order is. I was sitting within sight and earshot of the bar and could clearly see what was going on. People behind the bar were giving shots to some of your customers when asked and making drinks as well. I heard your employees telling one of the customers the song which was playing at the time was the last but then two more songs had played after that and the music continued even as I left your place. So clearly your so-called rules can be bent at will, which is fine. When I asked one of your staff why my order was refused but drinks were continued to be made he said some of them were for the staff. When asked customers cannot have a drink but the staff can, he just grinned and said yes. Please don’t patronize me and preach about respecting laws. I’m sure these acts by your staff are in violation of your licence. If you wish to favour some guests over others that’s your prerogative but at least have the courtesy to wait till those whom you refused...
