If you’re looking for an unforgettable dining experience that combines amazing food, a vibrant atmosphere, and breathtaking views, Joet’s Bar and Restaurant at Bogmalo Beach is the place to be! We recently celebrated a birthday party here, and it turned out to be nothing short of spectacular.
The evening started with a cozy dinner setup, surrounded by the sound of live music that perfectly complemented the serene beach vibes. The restaurant offered a plethora of options for vegetarians, which was a pleasant surprise. The paneer starters were perfectly spiced, and the garlic naan paired beautifully with flavorful curries. The highlight was the fresh, melt-in-your-mouth paneer dishes that felt like a gourmet treat. To top it all off, the dessert—simple yet delicious ice cream—added the perfect sweet ending to our meal.
What makes Joet’s truly stand out is the ambiance. Dining under the stars with the calming sound of waves in the background made the evening feel magical. After dinner, we took a leisurely walk along the beach while the live music continued, creating an enchanting experience that felt straight out of a dream.
If you’re planning a celebration or just looking for a unique dining spot in Goa, Joet’s Bar and Restaurant is the ultimate destination. Read moreHonestly the service here is beyond pathetic. Started from just the parking. Got told to move 3 times from the security guy. Rather than just directing me especially as I asked where to park. Despite there not being a single other vehicle in the whole car park. He saw luggage in my boot and started in a fairly disrespectful tone saying no luggage allowed inside. Despite me having no intention of bringing it or even removing it from the car.
The service inside is also sub par. I get it some restaurants have limited options. But asking for a simple request such as making something less spicy. Or seeing a dish that comes on toast. To come without the toast. Was a step too far for them. “It only comes as is”. A more courteous approach would be to check with the chef as many restaurants would offer. Not once did a staff memeber say hi or smile. Even asking for directions to the washroom was met with a frown n a brief point. Rather than with vocal directions. A simple request asking for something like peanuts was again met with a no. Instead of offering alternatives they may have.
The only thing I ended up liking was the mango mousse. despite that being tiny it really did taste well.
A service makes or breaks a place and as someone that lives abroad in the UK. It’s a shame to see usually great Indian hospitality being neglected in a place like this.
Wouldn’t recommend to anyone except for a quick visit for a nice beach view and maybe a...
