Leherein Restaurant & Bar — Restaurant in Goa

I am a regular customer to this restaurant as I lived very near to this place. I would have visited some 30 times. So i have had many of their dishes & cocktail. Dont know where to start. Firstly the people, from the owners to the chef to the waiters everyone are very friendly & lovely. You wont be able to differentiate them also in the restaurant. They are always welcoming. In-terms of food this is one of the best places for North Indian & Continental in that area. Goan is also good, but i have not tried a lot of dishes. Pompfret, Baby king fish tandoor, Prawn/chicken hakka noodles, Egg chilli fry, Chicken Biriyani, Mutton rohan gosh, Prawns butter garlic, Prawns masala fry (wont be in the menu), are my personal favourite. Generally the meat is very fresh. And you can ask them for customisation also based on your preference. Both the Chefs are very experienced & nice people. Cocktails also you can ask for customisation. Below is the one i got & one of the best i ever had. A must try place in Anjuna because of the lovely people, food, cocktail, cute ambience & music. Chanced upon this place while searching for a restaurant. They had Live Music. The Singer was really good. Had the live performance not been there, I think it would have been just another restaurant.

We had Pizza, Dal Khichdi and Urak. Food was good.

The alcohol content in the Urak was a bit low. The bar tender was kind enough to ask and enquire about the Urak and was happy to add more urak in the drink to make it stronger.

I think there was some issue with the serving size of alcohol in the adjoining table. The owner was there, he had brought the measuring glasses. Don't know what happened after that. ( I think this is a common issue here based on the previous reviews).

The bill did not have the GST number mentioned, yet they were charging GST. It was too late in the night to bring up this issue, but it's illegal to charge GST, if the GST number is not mentioned on the bill. (You are legally allowed to refuse to pay the GST charges, if the the GST NUMBER is not mentioned...

The place has a wonderful ambience and is well constructed. But we had a horrible experience nonetheless. We went there on a night which was obviously busy, but they handled it horrendously. It took an hour for the food to arrive, that too after we reminded them twice. It was blaringly obvious that they were overwhelmed, but they still didn’t stop new customers from getting in. The management did nothing to manage the situation, even when it was obvious that multiple customers were getting angry. I decided to take pity on them and go to the counter to pay my bill, and yet the servers and managers were too busy taking pictures of the place rather than handle my request swiftly.
