Having been here several times over the past few years, one has never been disappointed with the food, service or ambience. Be it the open space in the seating area below, or the balcony & A.C. section above, dining is chilled out & relaxed. Servers are polite & friendly. Been here for lunch as well as dinner. Starters, thalis, Chinese, Garlic naans, tandoori food, onion rings, Chicken sukka, etc. are all well prepared. The slushes, cocktails, mocktails & smoothies are all a delight. It's not many Restaurants where you have it all under one roof. Rita's does. Pricing is adequate & reasonable. Suitable for dining with friends and family. BEWARE: They tend to miscalculate the bill (especially the beverages). I say this because it has happened on two different occasions, with 2 different servers. No idea if it's careless or deliberate, but it's certainly not a pleasant ending to an otherwise pleasurable outing. They do take a while to re-calculate or even accept their error. They do need to keep a tab on the orders. Do take some time to tally your bill. All said & done, Rita's is a restaurant to reckon with.
Big, big disappointment. Slushes & smoothies have been discontinued. They were the ultimate...
Read moreWas nostalgic to visit Rita's renovated restaurant, as we used to visit when it was a mere shack, say 20+ years ago. Now, one is greeted by an attractive restaurant, with ample secure parking area & greenery all around. Its on 2 levels, upper level having a combo of ac & alfresco sections. Starters: Lady fish (Rs 500, 2 pcs), tandoori chicken, & butter garlic squids (squids abit steeply priced @Rs 500). All the snacks were spot on in taste & presentation. They are famous for their tandoori items, so made an exception in trying it out; was well made. Entrée: Chonak fish thali (Rs 300) - good. The ambiance was very pleasant & airy. The lady owner at counter was modest & open to feedback. Service was attentive (by Satya). Overall, we had a very pleasant time. Note: Do ask for prices before placing your order, as all fish items are APS. Washroom needs urgent attention; understand that a new space is coming up. They should install some insectocutors, to take care of the flies. Do try out this restaurant in Nerul, know for its tandoori & fresh fish / seafood items, you will not be disappointed. The ambiance...

The seafood was the highlight – fresh, perfectly spiced, and cooked with that homely touch that sets Goan food apart. Their fish thali was wholesome and beautifully presented, giving a true taste of local Goan tradition.
The ambiance is simple yet welcoming, with a relaxed vibe that makes you feel at home. The staff were warm, friendly, and quick to serve, adding to the overall pleasant experience. Prices are reasonable considering the quality and freshness of the food, making it great value for money.
What I really liked about Rita’s Bar and Kitchen is that it’s not overly commercialized – it feels like an authentic local spot where food takes center stage. Whether you’re craving seafood, Goan curries, or local comfort food, this place won’t disappoint.
Overall: If you’re in Goa and want to enjoy authentic Goan food in a cozy, welcoming environment, Rita’s Bar and Kitchen is definitely...
