We were looking at the end of our vacation for a truly authentic Indian cuisine place and still we had not been able to find in Goa..we ahd to search outside of the mainstream and the Royal cafe has been an outstanding experience. Sandeep welcoming and energy has rendered an unassuming evening special (including special Già Gin and on demand songs). All the food has been outstanding from the Chilly paneer, butter chicken, chicken and egg biryani and many many more. Tastes always sharp, authentic, spiced and balanced at the same time. The food was average – not too good, not too bad – and the portion sizes felt quite small. Unfortunately, we had a disappointing experience with the waiter, who refused to acknowledge a mistake in the order and made us feel as if we were at fault. However, the owner later stepped in, handled the situation politely, and ensured proper cooperation, which we truly appreciated.

One more concern: when we asked for Schezwan sauce, we were served a mix of tomato ketchup and green chilli sauce instead, which was not acceptable. The owner’s polite nature and customer-friendly attitude were the saving grace...
