If you’re craving authentic Telugu cuisine in Goa, look no further than Trails of Taste (TOT GOA) in Anjuna. This hidden gem serves up a rich tapestry of flavors that beautifully showcase the soul of Andhra and Telangana food.
We tried a variety of dishes during our visit, both dine-in and takeaway, and were genuinely impressed with the quality, authenticity, and attention to detail.
🥘 Highlights from the Dine-In Experience: • Kodi Biryani: Perfectly spiced with tender pieces of chicken, this dish hits the spot with its deep flavors and fluffy rice. • Kodi Pulao: Slightly milder than the biryani but packed with flavour. A great option if you’re looking for something hearty yet less intense. • Perugannam (Curd Rice): A comforting classic. Creamy and well-balanced, it’s the ideal way to end a spicy Telugu meal. • Poornalu: Traditional sweet dumplings filled with jaggery and coconut. Authentic and satisfying. • Gulab Jamun: Soft, warm, and melt-in-the-mouth – exactly how it should be. • Water Bottles: Much appreciated alongside the heat of the food!
🍛 Takeaway Treats: • Konaseema Kodi Vepudu: A spicy dry chicken fry that’s rich in Andhra spices – absolutely mouthwatering! • Jeedipappu Kodi Pakodi: Chicken popcorn with a Telugu twist, featuring crunchy cashews and bold masalas. Perfect as a starter or snack.

Our recent visit to this restaurant was a major letdown. From the poor service to the subpar food quality, it was an overall unpleasant experience that left us dissatisfied and regretting our choice.
Slow and Disorganized Service
To begin with, our server took an excessively long time to even take our order. After waiting for 20 minutes, they returned to inform us that the dish we had requested was unavailable. This lack of communication and preparedness set the tone for the rest of the meal.
Lengthy Wait for Food
We had to wait nearly an hour before our food was finally served. What made this even more frustrating was that tables seated after us were served first. This lack of organization and prioritization was unacceptable.
Subpar Food Quality
When our food did arrive, it was a major disappointment. The meat we ordered tasted spoiled and unappetizing. The Pulaos we requested were nothing like the authentic dish, resembling more of a simple jeera rice with just a couple of pieces of meat thrown in.
Unavailable Beverages
To add insult to injury, when we asked for chilled water, we were told it was unavailable. The soft drinks we ordered were also not properly chilled, further contributing to our dissatisfaction.
Overpriced for the Quality
Given the poor quality of the food and overall dining experience, the prices charged by the restaurant were not at all justified. We felt that we had wasted our money on a meal that failed to meet even the most basic expectations. In conclusion, this dining experience was one of the worst we have ever had. From the disorganized service to the subpar food quality and lack of basic amenities, it was an unpleasant experience that left a bad taste in our mouths, both literally and figuratively. We would not recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for a satisfying and enjoyable...
