VEG DARBAR - Family Restaurant — Restaurant in Goa

We visited for early lunch and the place was less crowded. The restaurant manager Mr. Jha ensured prompt service and took the food order himself. He took point and made sure that any customization requests were noted.

We had our food served within 10-20 minutes for the à la carte order and thali meals as well. Taste of Thali meals was ok-ok for our liking, however the à la carte order tasted pretty good. The couple of reservations that we had for the order items were noted and the same were prepared afresh pretty well.

We had in our party folks aged 1years to 70 and Mr. Jha made sure that he provided service and food to liking for all of us.

When in Goa again I would like to visit this place again and I look forward to it. I found the dining experience better than some of the 5 star properties I have stayed at in Goa where at times staff takes things for granted.

We were group of us and had lunch here. Since we were staying near by and wanted a Veg restaurant we opted for Veg Darbar. They have an extensive menu and staff is Polite. Service was decent. Food quantity is apt for 2 parole per portion but in terms of taste it could do better. Masala papad portion felt less and sweet lassi ordered wasn’t upto to the mark. Tandoori roti and naan were hot and crispy but the main course could improve. Biryani was decent enough . Have had much better. For the price point it was a decent experience. Bill was approx 1350 and with payment thru zomato it came down to Rs 1250/- which was a bonus.

Place looked decent on entering and expected a better lunch experience which wasn't the case...
