Zodiac - All Day Dining Benaulim (Member of ITC Hotels' Group) — Restaurant in Goa

Visited Zodiac today, previously known as joecons resort. We were the 1st customers of the evening. We sat close to the bar area under a (noiseless) fan which helped cool us down in this scorching heat. The place is on the pricier side one must say. We proceeded to order the usual beverages and opted for 2 starters of the croquettes and fish forminhas. Keep in mind we sat at the table a few minutes past 7 pm. We were given some complimentary papads with a chutney whilst we waited for our starters. And we were still the only customers at the restaurant. Then 7:20 pm rolls around and still no starters are received yet, our server brings another round of complimentary papads and chutney, and we are still waiting for the starters. 7:30 pm rolls around still no starters received as yet. We ordered more beverages, our server apologised for the delay. 7:40 pm still no starters received. We were offered more papad which we politely declined and requested something else to which we were offered salted peanuts. Finally less than 5 minutes to 8 pm our starters arrived and we dug into the croquettes as we were famished, then came the fish forminhas. The croquettes were of decent size and proportion 7 pieces in total and the fish forminhas were 5 pieces in total. The croquettes were well cooked but quite salty. The forminhas base was quite hard to bite into, literally got poked into my gums whilst trying to bite into them a few times. Our server tried to make our visit as pleasant as could be. The chef did come out to ask about the food and my friend gave him honest feedback. The chef gave us a complimentary dessert for the not so pleasant experience with the long wait that we had to endure to receive our 2 starters when we were the only customers at the restaurant the whole time. I shudder to think what would be the wait times if the restaurant was even a quarter filled...

What a upward graph this place has seen over last 1.5 years.

Have been to this place around 8-9 times in last 1.5 years, here is combined feedback with recent experience having most weightage.

1. Service - the service is top-notch. The bahavior of staff and Mgr is excellent. Need to Mention 'Gangu' and 'Kaif' and 'Stanley'(he doesnt work here anymore though). Always smiling, ever helping, ready to customize and very nice people. Keep it up folks.
2. Setup- Setup is great, relaxed for a enjoyable dinner - set in a garden with lice music, some times folks music and dance (an excellent Rajasthani folk music and Dance event happend last week- Awesome)
3. Food- Very tasty food, good preparations- need to mentioned - Lasagna, Gosht Biryani, Tandoori Chicken (huge quantity), Fattoush Salad, hakka noodles, Tiramisu - all these I have ordered multiple times and hence can vouch that they are consistently Tasty.
4. Drinks- I love Manhattan, while wife loves Hibiscus Butterfly Tea here .... Didnt like LIT in past though :).

Overall , excellent place for the food and service and way...

A wonderful place to dine. Great service. Ambiance - 5 star Service - 5 star Vibe - Good Added - Live Music on occasions.

Food - Pijush suggested Anjeer Kebab which was really good. Equally good was the Thai curry, the prawns were big & succulent to the extent where we just picked them from the curry & relished.

The live music on the occasion of Christmas was made our evening, thanks Fortune team. They live up to the the standard we were expecting them too. And courteously attentive to a query we raised without a hint of displeasure, its wonderful see...
