After a very long time, I truly enjoyed a good gujarati thali!

Okay, so I've tried a LOT of Gujarati Thalis in Ahmedabad, and honestly, most of the time it's just… too sweet. Like, everything tastes like dessert! But Aagrah? Wow, just wow.

They totally get it right. From the moment I sat down, I could tell this was going to be different. First off, the food was HOT! Like, proper, freshly made, piping hot. That's a huge plus for me. And the taste? Forget about it! Each dish had its own distinct flavor.

The spicy stuff was actually spicy, the savory dishes were delicious, and nothing was overly sweet. It was like they knew exactly how each dish should taste.

What stood out immediately was the fantastic flavor of the Korma, Bhindi, and Samosas. The Korma was rich and satisfying, the Bhindi was perfectly spiced, and the Samosas were wonderfully crisp. And let's not forget the Jalebis – they were hot, crisp, and absolutely delicious! The purna poli was also really amazing.

One of the best things about Aagrah is their thoughtful menu. They offer both Punjabi and Gujarati Dal options, along with Kadhi, giving you a wonderful variety to choose from. This is a huge plus for anyone who appreciates having options.

And let's talk about the service! The staff were super friendly and attentive. They were always checking if I needed anything, and they brought refills without me even having to ask. It felt like they genuinely cared about making sure I had a good meal.

Honestly, for the price, you get SO much food, and it's all top-notch quality. You definitely get your money's worth. If you're looking for a REAL Gujarati Thali experience in Ahmedabad, one that's actually delicious and not just sugary, you HAVE to go to Aagrah. I'm already planning...

I recently visited your restaurant and truly loved the authentic Gujarati food and the warm ambience. It is clear that a lot of effort goes into maintaining the traditional taste and creating a welcoming environment, and I really appreciate that.

However, I would like to share some honest feedback in the hope that it helps improve your system. The biggest issue I faced was with crowd and queue management. My group of 19 people had to wait for almost an hour before getting a table. It was quite disappointing, especially because everything else about your restaurant is excellent.

Your restaurant is clearly doing very well by the grace of Jalaram Bapa, and I am happy to see that success. At the same time, it might be the right moment to invest in a proper digital reservation system. If customers could pre-book tables online and pay in advance with a clear no-show policy, it would save everyone time and frustration. Most people who visit your restaurant would not mind paying in advance for a guaranteed table.

Time is a valuable resource for everyone, and waiting for an hour just to get a seat reduces the overall experience. A more organized reservation system would show that you value your guests’ time as much as the quality of your food.

I am sharing this feedback with genuine respect and hope you will consider upgrading your queue management system. Your food truly deserves an experience that matches...

Food was good but service really needs improvement as the waiters and their managers are always in great hurry, they don't let you complete your food and start putting new dishes for new customers ,when some of the family members are done but others are still eating so they should wait for some time instead of putting bunch of new dishes on the same table just along with the members who are still eating and thus they put mental pressure on them to complete fast so that they can call new customers. Also when I asked manager to remove that bunch he didn't even care to understand it and asked the waiter not to take away that bunch even after my request. They are taking the money in advance so it's fine for them to treat the customer as per their wish, they don't care about customer at all. Also dahi vada was having a hair on it when I was eating so I asked their manager about it ,he took it so lightly and said he may change the dish. I could have made it a big issue on the spot on that basis of cleanliness but I let it go as I did not wanted to spoil my family members day. I have been to other restaurants many times but never had this type of worst service ever. I am not going to visit this restaurant ever again and will not refer any...

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ (5/5) Visited: Lunch Time | Location: Agman Thal, Ahmedabad First of all, the ambience was delightful — warm, welcoming, and ideal for a proper family dining experience. It was slightly crowded, which is understandable given the popularity of their thali concept during lunch hours. However, the staff was extremely considerate and arranged a separate seating area for us when we mentioned our discomfort with the crowd. That gesture truly reflected their commitment to hospitality — great job on that! Coming to the food — absolutely amazing. The Dal stood out in particular with its rich, homely flavor that instantly reminded us of traditional Gujarati kitchens. The variety of curries, sabjis, chaats, and sweets offered in the unlimited thali was impressive, both in taste and presentation. At just ₹350 per head, the overall experience felt more than worth it — a complete, satisfying, and value-for-money Gujarati thali experience. A highly recommended place for anyone looking to enjoy authentic flavors with great service and a pleasant family-friendly atmosphere.

Must visit place for vegetarians in Ahmedabad. We were a group of 10 family+friends while visiting there for lunch this Sunday. Great Gujarati Thali with an awesome collection of veg items. 7-8 Sabjis+Dal+Kadhi options. 3-5 farsans Pulka roti, Puri, ghee-dipped puranpoli 2-3 sweets, pickles, chatnis, papad, Chhaas(Butter-Milk) and what not. Rice. Home-made (kothi) ice cream. The freshness and taste of the food was so delicious and different than normal typical thali restaurants. While speaking to the managment, I learnt that they bring lot of items fresh from the nearby villages everyday for the food preparation. That was the secret of their freshness. We literally feasted and ended up overeating. Kids enjoyed the food like they never had food for weeks. Also a very busy place. They have a very large dining area but it's so busy that you surely need to book in advance if you plan to go there. Has Jain and Swaminarayan options as well. Ask for it. Recommended for any veg Gujarati food lovers.
