If you’re an egg lover and happen to be in Surat, Chandan Omelette Center is an absolute gem that you must visit. Located near St. Thomas School in Vesu, this place is famous for its innovative and flavorful egg dishes, served fresh and full of spice.
The menu is extensive, offering more than 50 varieties of egg-based items — from creamy gravies to spicy fries, omelettes, bhurjis, and even egg-based pizzas and burgers. Their signature items like the Lahori Omelette, Australian Fry, and 007 Sabzi are not just unique in name, but truly stand out in taste and presentation. The dishes are well-portioned, rich in flavor, and layered with cheese, butter, and spices that make each bite memorable.
The ambience is clean and casual, ideal for friends and family outings. The staff is polite, attentive, and ensures that food is served hot and hygienically. The waiting time is usually short, even during rush hours.
One of the best things here is the value for money. You get generous portions at affordable prices, typically spending around ₹300–₹400 for two people. Whether you’re a hardcore egg fan or someone who enjoys street-style Indian fusion food, there’s something for every palate.
I especially recommend trying their Lasan Fry and Akuri, along with a chilled soft drink or buttermilk to balance the heat of the spices.
This place is truly a celebration of eggs and creativity. It’s no surprise that it has become one of Surat’s most talked-about food joints. Don’t miss this spot if you’re in town — your taste buds...

Firstly, the restaurant's ambience is casual and inviting, with a clean and well-lit seating area. The staff was friendly and attentive, and we received our order quickly.
Now, let's talk about the food. The Egg Kheema was flavorful and well-spiced, with tender minced meat mixed with eggs, onions, and a variety of spices. It was served piping hot and tasted great with the bread we ordered.
The Egg Gotalo was also delicious, with a blend of scrambled eggs and vegetables that were perfectly cooked and seasoned. The dish was hearty and filling, with a nice balance of flavors.
Finally, the boiled eggs were perfectly cooked and served with a sprinkle of salt and pepper. They were a simple but satisfying addition to our meal.

Read moreThis was my review most recently: came and got 3 dishes. Masala Boil Fry, Lahori Fry, and Egg Fried Rice. They were all tasty. The masala boil was over boiled. The Lahori Fry was a little spicy but over all a great dish. The 🥚 egg fried rice 🍚 was not spicy at all and balanced my Lahori Fry out. Overall good experience. This visit was Monday around 1245 pm. I have updated my ratings to reflect my most recent visit.
This was my review 2 weeks ago : I came here several years ago when they just opened. In fact back then I was here several times a week. It was wonderful then. Tables and chairs were clean. I will say, the chairs now are a lot more stable than before. 😂 . Even the staff were a little pleasant 🤣. . Today was just the opposite. 🤬. It was tornup menu's, sticky and oily tables, and the service was atrocious. Down right disgusting. It was by far the laziest, most unprofessional, slothful, lacking everything needed in service. I don't know why anyone stands for it. I won't be making that many trips, if any more, back to this omelette center. Food, 3 stars, service was Zero Stars....
