I happened to visit Delicacy this weekend. It was not my first choice but I had heard some previous reviews and that made me give it a chance. But I think it is the last chance! The place is alright, but seems a little claustrophobic. The crowds at adjoining tables tend to be pretty audible and make the place uncomfortable. It almost makes you want to leave as soon as you can! The staff was quite polite and helpful and that is the only reason I add another star to the review than I intend to give them. But they are not that accurate at taking orders accurately for they forgot to serve us one of the starters (No! It wasn't added to the bill so I can forgive them!) They also happened to forget to add one of the items we ordered to the bill (it was promptly added when I reminded them!). They also forgot to hand us a parcel of one of the leftover dishes. But we were in such a hurry to leave the congested place that we could not have bothered until much later and we did not even feel like we had lost anything! We ordered a couple of the regular and popular items like the manchow soup- the noodles that invite one to this soup seemed to be less than perfect! I ordered an item I really fancied much- a malai kofta. To put it mildly, it tasted like 'sheera'. Yes! I know it should be sweet, but not that sweet! And not a pale yellow! The Singaporean fried rice seemed more like an Indian masala rice. The paneer dish was passable and perhaps the only saving grace. The potato fried starter and the paneer chilly dry were peas of the same pod- perhaps a wrong choice of order on our part! The best part of our order were the fresh hot butter rotis brought promptly and served nice and hot! I wonder if the service was affected because of a birthday party going on in the adjoining banquet area. It did not seem inviting enough in terms of ambience or food for me atleast! I can give them a benefit of doubt about the staff seeming overworked and rushed because of the party, but thanks to all that I do not wish to return there. I would not say that others should not go; perhaps they can have a better...
Read moreToday I have visited Delicacy Rastaurant we are 16 pax. Experience was so bad. Firstly I have ordered Soup and French Fries for kids. Than we ordered Stater Tandoori Paneer Tikka, Paneer Chilly and for main course we order Paneer Lababdar, Chees angara and some bread all ordered at same time.
Firstly, we get soup it will take 20-225 min to serve.
Secondly, we get Paneer Tikka and chilly Paneer, will take to serve another 20-25 min to serve the starterer kids was still waiting for French fries.
Than after long waiting 40-45 min they have not clear the plates and empty bowl of starter and start to serve main course in same plates. Kids still waiting for the french fries. We asked for the se what happened to serve French fries. One person came with French fries it was burnt and cold. I told the supervisor for the same. Than after we call twice time to floor manager for repeat order of bread. No one came till 15-20 min the main course get cold. Then I stand up from my seat and complain for the same. Eventhan they took longer than usual time to get bread. My geust was not happy with the food and worst service which they have not seen before in any restaurant. No water and onions on the table.
Moreover, they have not kept customer reviews/feedback booklet. When I ask he told me we don't keep the same.
Much better options available very close,...
