Rating: ⭐⭐⭐
I recently visited Haldiram and had a mixed experience that I feel compelled to share. While the food and service were commendable, the high prices left me with a sense of hesitation.
Food (⭐⭐⭐): Haldiram truly excels in the culinary department. The diverse menu offers a variety of delicious dishes, each bursting with authentic flavors. From traditional Indian snacks to hearty main courses, the quality of ingredients and preparation is evident. However, while the taste was impressive, the portion sizes were somewhat smaller than expected for the price.
Service (⭐⭐⭐⭐): The service at Haldiram was a highlight of my visit. The staff was attentive, friendly, and efficient. They were quick to accommodate our requests and had excellent knowledge of the menu, providing helpful recommendations. The overall dining experience was elevated by the exceptional service.
Atmosphere (⭐⭐⭐⭐): The ambiance at Haldiram is warm and inviting. The restaurant is well-maintained, and the decor creates a pleasant dining environment. Whether you're there for a casual meal with friends or a family gathering, the atmosphere adds to the overall enjoyment of the dining experience.
Price (⭐): This is where Haldiram falls short for me. While I understand that quality comes at a cost, the prices seemed disproportionately high, especially for those in the middle-class bracket. The value for money was not in line with my expectations, and it might be a limiting factor for individuals or families on a budget.
In conclusion, Haldiram offers a delightful culinary experience with excellent service and a welcoming atmosphere. However, the high prices may deter those looking for more affordable dining options. If you're willing to splurge for a special occasion or are not constrained by budget considerations, Haldiram could be a great choice. For others, it might be worth exploring alternative dining options that offer a similar experience without the...
Read moreThe place has newly opened and serves a variety of foods including South Indian, North Indian, Snacks & Chhat, Sandwiches etc. The place also serves various combos, which mainly contain rice or Indian bread along with dal or subzi. The food is good in taste, particularly south Indian food and combos. However, the staff seems to be untrained, and we found it non-responsive or casual in approach during each of our visits. The poor attitude of staff sopils the fun. However, I would like to appreciate the services offered by only one particular staff member, namely Mukesh, who was very prompt & efficient and served us well. As such, the place has a system of scanning the menu from the tables, which are numbered, and directly place an order along with payment. The order is then served on the table number from which it was placed. During our first visit, the system was partly working. However, during our subsequent visit, the system did not work, and order had to be placed at the payment counter along with payment and then submit the token generated at the service counter. Thereafter, food was served on the table. The Ambience of the place is good & and at the price charged, the quantity of food served is sufficient. The quality of food is also good. Combos can be particularly useful for single person. The place can not be termed expensive considering quantity & quality of food. The service is still not up to the mark. They forget to serve spoons, tissue paper etc. and the same were served after two to three reminders to different people. Require massive improvement in this department. The washroom floor had water accumulated, which made it dirty. This also needs...
Read moreCame here for Sunday brunch @ 11AM. Nice and clean space.
Of total 30 only 3-4 tables occupied. Ordered Chhole Bhature with Gulab jamun, Mumbai sandwich and fries.
Items are overpriced. But that is not an issue. The issue is, they are overpriced for what is provided.
Chholes were less in quantity and just average taste. Bhature were worst. Thick and not enough hot. Even roadside ₹100 ones is better. Potato subji was just two small pieces.
Gulab jamun looked to be the frozen one out from microwave.
Fries were also the regular one but they were at least tasting good.
Mumbai Grilled Sandwitch with cheese of ₹180 was just aloo paratha stuffing between breads. Cheese was only on top. The funny part, even with 3-4 occupied tables, they messed up and gave our Sandwitch to someone else.
The only good thing apart from clean space (now I think that was due to Morning time and less occupancy only) was Mahesh who was enjoying making awesome looking chaats which I saw being prepared for someone else. He also packed fries for my takeaway and was going beyond needed to help.
Overall I’d say a place overhyped and overpriced for what is provided. And with this price also, it is partially self service one. Spoilt my Sunday brunch 😒.
Edit: The link received via SMS for bill and feedback doesn’t work. The QR code printed on metal table plate doesn’t allow to add items to cart. Prices on web menu from QR code and physical menu differs.
Small things like this not working for large chain of restaurant...
