I am born and brought-up in Surat and Surat is my motherland. I feel proud that I come from the City of delicious food varieties. Now I am settled at Bangalore but whenever I visit Surat, I never miss exploring the old as well as new food varieties.

During my recent visit to Surat, my parents introduced me to Jalaram Khichdi. I truly savored every bite of it.

Location: The outlet I visit is located in the basement of Kashi Plaza right at the popular Majura Gate. The road was very messy due to on-going metro work. But such struggles never impacts us Surti people when it comes to food.

Food: Truly 'Finger Licking Good' is what I can express. We took parcel and relished food at home. We ate Rajwadi Khichdi, Kadhi and Papad. Khichdi was extremely falvourfull with lots of vegetables and spiced up with hot tadka. I can swear that I can eat this khichdi wihout Kadhi or Papad. It was that much delicious. Kadhi was one of the best. We call it "Maharaj Kadhi" which used to be served in food during marriages.

I am truly looking forward to my next meal from Jalaram Khichdi.

I have been to this place twice and was mesmerized by the quality of food given. They serve limited versions of Gujarati, Punjabi and South Indian thali. I have savored their special Gujarati thali on both occasions. This thali has 4 vegetable saags, 9 super soft rotis, curd, butter milk and a sweet. All the food items are very tasty. Nice to taste of restaurant and nice khicdi is famous to jalaram and nice to serivce to all customer and nice respond and jalram to conent to online zoommto app and use it . I Regularly vist Surat and always used to take dinner in Jalaram Khichdi. One of the best place for dinner... family or friends..you can visit with any type veg dinner.
