New Alka Restaurant — Restaurant in Gujarat

This place has been my go-to spot for years, and I’ve always enjoyed coming here for a comforting meal. The food used to be consistently delicious — especially my usual favorites like the Manchow Soup, Paneer Chilli Dry, Paneer Balti, and Paneer Handi. Unfortunately, over the past few visits, I’ve noticed that the taste and quality seem to have declined slightly. The flavors don’t feel as balanced or rich as they once were, and that signature touch that made the food stand out seems to be fading. I really hope they bring back the same consistency and taste that made this place special in the first place.

Another point worth mentioning is the payment system — they currently only accept UPI or cash, which can be inconvenient for those who prefer to pay by card. It would be great if they could offer multiple payment options for customers’ ease. Parking can also be a bit tricky at times, especially during weekends or peak hours, so it’s something to keep in mind when visiting.

Despite these issues, the restaurant still holds a special place for me because of the many good experiences I’ve had here over the years. I genuinely hope they make a few improvements and bring back the same charm and flavor that once made this one of my favorite...

After driving 30 kms, from Parul University, 45 degree temperature, I went there hoping they would provide atleast a cool environment to eat. Food was okay-ish but Bhai ko maine bola pankha chalu kar do to which he said AC already chalu hai. I showed him the temperature and he turned the fan on for about 15 mins then again switched it off. Ma chod di customer service ki. Very chutiya behaviour and you will get only regular/butter chapati with sabzi. GAND ME DAAL DO...

It's a good food for family place. Items in menu are sufficient for needs. At times Chatni served for south indian preparation are very cold, one may believe it to be prepared on the same day. IT'S A CASH-ONLY PLACE. No kids menu. Ambiance in the seating area is good and pleasing unless some customers are making noises and louds. No mirror on the wash basin.
