We were looking for a good restaurant around the textile market, and a shop owner suggested this restaurant to us. Hence, we thought of trying out the restaurant. We ordered a special thali, paneer kadai, masala papad, and the usual rotis and kulchas. The deluxe thali was excellent. The thali had two types of sabzis, butter chapati, dal fry, jeera rice, boondi raita, gulab jamun, buttermilk, papad, salad, pickle. The two sabzis were paneer lazeez and mixed veg. The former was slightly on the spicier side with cubes of fresh soft paneer in orange gravy. The latter, i.e., mixed veg, was, as its name, a mixture of veggies such as carrots, cauliflower, peas, beans, etc., in yellow gravy. Both the sabzis were delicious. The combination of jeera rice and dal fry was great too. While the boondi raita was lip-smacking, the gulab jamun was made in pure ghee and served hot. Finally, the buttermilk helped complete the food. The great thing about it was it wasn't even slightly sour, indicating the fresh curd used to prepare it. The Kadai paneer was also on the spicier side, with large rectangular cubes of paneer prepared in tomato-based orange spicy gravy. But the quantity was excellent and so was the taste and quality. We thoroughly enjoyed delving into the dish along with the tasty rotis and butter kulchas we had ordered. The butter kulcha was dripping with butter, as the name suggests. All in all, I would say the restaurant lives up to the name and is quite in line with the other Bhagat Tarachand restaurants I have eaten at. I would definitely recommend trying out their food.

This place was absolutely neat and clean, the sitting arrangement of this place is good. The food tasted very well. They serve the food in a big thali which seemed really interesting to me since this doesn’t happen in every restaurant around. The sweet dishes were also very good in taste. The food didn’t taste sweet thankfully 😅 Tasted Dal Khichdi here for the first time and we quite liked it. Its a good place to visit with family. The services here is good. The only reason why I hv given a few stars less is becz I felt it was a bit over priced as per the quantity of the vegetables which can improved. Rest I would definitely recommend this place, the food tasted good especially if you are from somewhere around North and trying to find good food.

This is a nice restaurant near the textile market. We have eaten here before. So we decided to visit again. We ordered Gujarati Thali, which came with paneer kadai, masala pappadam, roti, kulcha, gulab jamun etc. The Thali was excellent. The Thali had two types of subs, butter chapati, dal fry, jeera rice, boondi raita, gulab jamun, butter milk, pappadam, salad and pickle. Both the subs were delicious. Overall, we would say that the restaurant lives up to its name and is in line with other Bhagat Tarachand restaurants we have eaten at. Definitely recommend trying their food. Only if the price of the food is not an issue. Because the price is good and the quality is accordingly.

The most awesome place to satiate ur food buds.. authentic Punjabi food.. an experience you will never forget for the rest of ur lives... I have been going to Bhagat tarachand franchises for the last 14 years and have always ordered the following--- Gobi Fry Dal fry( onion tadka) Special butter chapati Chhaas

Gobi Fry -- never in my life I have ever had such a yummy Gobi... crispy on the outside and soft on the inside.. the masala is on the mark n the taste is out of the world..

Dal Fry-- thick, pasty and yummy.. topped with fried caramalised onions... One of a kind daal..

The deadly combination of this Gobi Fry n dal fry along with their soft gooey speical butter chapati ( with a giant dab of butter) is enough to put u in a food coma.. complete foodgasm.. never ever got tired of eating this combo since the past 14 years...

Their trademark chhaas in a beer bottle is my favourite.. thick, plain and creamy. Douse it in one go!!

Other things to try-- khicha churi..khicha papad churi, paneer achari..

Sorry I have tried only the above things other than my fav combo and have found it to be awesome as well...

Must...

Different and delicious are the two things that comes to my mind whenever we think about this place.

Food served here is quite tasty, complete with taste and presentation. Style of serving rotis here is quite different as they make a potli kind of thing with butter in between and the serve it, which in itself is quite unique especially considering that no place in Delhi at serves in this style. Rest, the food served is quite tasty and rates are economical as well.

This place fares well on hygiene front as well. Seating, on the day I visited, was fine considering no rush was there, but my guess is that people will have to wait for their number in normal days. Parking is an issue while visiting here as parking on road is not safe there as was advised by their guard, so keep this in mind while visiting this place. Ambience also is okayish.! Nothing special on this front.

Overall, it is surely a place worth visiting especially for the Aam Ras and Rabri served here both of which are one of a kind!

Cost for two: 500/- Must Try:...
