R.K. Omlet Centre — Restaurant in Gujarat

I used to visit this restaurant regularly when it first opened. Back then, the egg dishes were truly delicious, and the place had a charm that made it worth coming back. However, things have changed a lot since the restaurant became popular. Unfortunately, the quality of food has gone downhill. The egg dishes, which were once the highlight of the menu, no longer taste the same. The flavors seem off, and the dishes lack the freshness they used to have. It feels like the focus has shifted from providing good food to just handling the crowd. During my recent visit, I was very disappointed with the meal. The taste was bland, and it felt like the dishes were made without much care. The service was also slow, probably because the restaurant was so crowded. I don’t recommend this place anymore, especially if you are looking for good egg dishes. It’s really sad to see such a great spot lose its quality over time. I visited the branch which is located or based out in some kind of mall. It was difficult for me to locate and Google was making to take left n right, etc. They've many option compared to Raju Omlet of vadodara which is good. 👍 I ate John paratha which was combination of Omlet, bread, mayo and cheese. It was good but not hot served and priced high. My Second dish was egg lababadar with plain rice which was good. I saw ppl having regular bhurji or kheema items. It's Cash only restaurant, so do carry enough cash.

What can be improved - a hoarding/shop banner near the paved road which is easier to locate. Move to digital payment at least paytm or other UPI...

Once again, no trip to Ahmedabad is complete without stopping at R.K. Omlet Centre. This is a busy, popular, well established location which now has expanded outdoor seating. There are many options on their menu and if you are not familiar with local egg dish names, it may be hard to choose. I would love to see a digital menu which shows pictures and ingredients in their dishes. You may have to ask the staff or the person at the next table for suggestions but if you are a fan eggs and egg dishes, you must visit R.K....
