The Chocolate Room Manjalpur — Restaurant in Gujarat

The Chocolate Room franchise is straight-up one of my favourite eatery chains in the country. As for the Manjalpur café, it's one of the most frequent places I keep visiting. The bakery and confectionery is genuinely worth every penny, and it's a spectacular choice for cakes and dessert as well as Western beverages for all occasions and events.

As for the place itself, it is homely, aesthetic and furnished with non-alcoholic drinks and sodas. There are 4 tables with a 4-seater capacity and one 3-seater.

For the non-dessert items, such as the breads, pizzas, pastas and rolls, the price point could've been a little more justifiable.

Additionally, as of the time this review is written, there Chocolate Room Manjalpur is a Zomato Pro Dining Partner. There is a 25% discount on the bill for Zomato members!

Went there after 2017 and the changes were quite evident. Earlier they used to have cozy ambience but now they're more oriented towards catering the online orders from swiggy/zomato. So if you're in looking for great ambience you might get disappointed.

Coming to food - i tried coffee frappe and colesaw sandwich. The taste was good but i found some hygiene related issues. Like one of my jar had fly sticking to it ( and I'm not that kind of person who goes on berating the staff, better leave the drink ) and colesaw sandwich was good.

AC's were also not working properly. No napkins on the table . staff was having lunch in front of your table. Cakes were left on the sofas for orders.

Overall not a good experience earlier they used to be the best in Manjalpur.

This Franchise owned outlet of “The Chocolate Room” is about 4 1/2 year old. The condition and interior is still neatly maintained except for few things. The television is just for show and not working as owners don’t bother to recharge the connection. The menu are torn apart because of wear and tear. Nobody is concerned about ordering new menu cards. Other than that it has all the good things of a regular “The chocolate room” outlet. The company owned outlet at fatehgunj usually has amazing offers i.e. 69/- for any hot chocolate. This store being franchise owned misses on such promotions. We were charged 139/- for same hot chocolate, which was way too thin(more water, less chocolate) as per the brand standards. But still it’s a nice place to hang out...
