To Zomato, Chocolate Room

This email is in reference to buying Zomato gold membership which provide 1 + 1 menu item free.

I visited your restaurant "The Chocolate Room" on 28.4.19 at around 10.00 pm Prahladnagar branch . . which I am visiting since long and liked it a lot but now I dont.

I ordered 2 dishes. I ate both of it. One I couldnt finish it and ate half only and told them to pack the remaining food which is left.

They said they cannot pack the remaining food as you have ordered by Zomato Gold membership and so I had to literally take left over food in tissue paper at home. I dont believe in throwing left over food.

What you say is it better to throw the food or take it to home and eat later or let your friends and family eat or give it to some poor person rather than throwing in gutter.

I contacted Zomato they said "Gold is not valid on delivery and takeaway. It is valid only on in restaurant dining." Sitting in restaurant and dining isnt it called in-dining ? and cant be few food be left over ? It was not delivery it was just half eaten food.

If you are following Zomato by not packing half eaten food and letting customer pack themselve in tissue paper just because the person has taken 1000 Rs gold membership of Zomato and chosen you . . . you are seriously spoiling your reputation which was excellent uptil now. This way you will surely loose your loyal customers. Zomato membership started since few year but we were visiting your restaurant since ages. Very very bad behaviour utterly disappointment.

They said

Zomato has strictly ordered us not to pack remaining food item for those who buy food with gold membership. . Zomato took everything off from their shoulder and said they have said nothing like that and its restaurant which has to decide. It was first time in the life that I had to carry left over food from any hotel in tissue paper to home.

I also asked them call your manager. The worker replied manager is not present. No one is in charge, we cannot do anything..

The one who was in charge said he is manager and is not going to talk to us and sent waitor to talk to us.

They just want to sell stuff and do not care about your experience at all.

For first few minutes I was just standing at the counter and representative will not entertain me. Once he was free from his cell phone, he will come to me.

I asked for the rate of donut which they told was 99. I asked them to pack it which they did. During pickup I was charged 500. On asking they told they have packed chocolate dome. I did not mind as it might be misunderstanding and paid in full.

Other shock comes after. Upon opening the dome, it was completely crushed. They did not told me that it will melt in 2 minutes. I would have not done pickup of that particular item. There as ice cream as well with the dome. I asked them to add cold pack which they refused very rudely.

To conclude, no customer service, no respect for customer. Never...
