Pizza Express is one such chain that had branded pizzas for eternity! The ones who actually possess the knowledge of Authentic Italian cuisine love this place and have given it the hype that it deserves. For most of the Indians who have grown up with Pizza Hut and Dominos, have been delighted by the experience that this fine dining and super classy restaurant has to offer!

The Giardiniera Pizza -
I played safe with the all-veggies pizza and got some extra cheese added. The pesto and tomato base was a killer combination and turned out extremely flavourful!
Penne Arabiatta Pasta -
If you have a pre conceived notion about White sauce pastas that they are extremely cheesy and too heavy to handle, please try this one at Pizza Express. Filled with crunchy bell peppers and veggies, this one will please the taste buds of every Pasta lover!
The portions are great and enough to satiate two famished foodies!
⭐ Ambience -
It's a fine dining restaurant with a decent seating capacity! You can expect a very formal and quiet environment, perfect for a business meeting or a peaceful date with your partner! The restaurant is spacious as well as they have occupied ample area in the Mall.
⭐ Service -
The staff is prompt and highly efficient but a few of them had a smirk when I was enquiring about some ingredients that I didn't understand in the menu. It's a usual behavior seen in fine dining establishments housing cuisines/food/ingredients that are relatively alien to some patrons. I prefer to brush off such noticeable disappointing and disgraceful behaviour.
⭐ Price and Value for money -
Pizza Express is one of the most expensive Italian restaurants in the city but once you are done with the meal, you won't mind shelling out those extra bucks because the food is definitely worth every dime!
Pro Tip - They are Zomato Gold members so if you have the membership, you'll literally feel blessed after availing 1+1 on food!

Read more🍕 Even though there are only a few fine dining Italian restaurants available, Pizza Express makes up for this unavailability. It is absolutely a must visit. One must go here for authentic Italian food and a good ambience.
🍕 We tried their antipasto Verde, Bosco salad, spaghetti Aglio-e-Olio, Pomodoro pizza and the Romana base Padana & Funghi di Bosco pizza. The ingredients used were really good and their use of leafy greens gives the dishes an unprecedented freshness and makes it a delightful experience.
🍕 We loved their Romana style crust pizza especially the Padana. The thin crust highlighted the taste of the toppings while it's crispiness complemented the toppings' freshness. The Padana had the goat cheese which lifted the pizza to another level.
🥗 The bosco salad was delicious, but with just one issue. They need to balance the greens with sufficient mushrooms otherwise the greens just get left behind in the bowl. And you are left wanting for more.
🍝 The spaghetti was al-dante and the pasta as whole tasted great with the garlic and chili infused olive oil, which is already there at the tables.
🍹 We also tried their sunrise iced tea which was phenomenal albeit its humble ingredients. I loved it so much that after the visit I have made multiple sunrise iced teas at home.
🧀 A special mention would be for their mozzarella cheese. It was served separately with the antipasto. It is, hands down, the best mozzarella I've ever tasted. Completely blown away. It just made my day.
Overall I'm now in love with Pizza Express and with or without the added advantage of Zomato Gold it is absolutely a must visit for everyone. I’ll make sure to chit-chat with the Pizzaiolo and watch them flip...
Read moreEh! What was this? We have passed this specific place on a number of occasions and never thought of going in as it was always empty. However, the opportunity presented itself as Fresco (our favourite) was closed. We were a little skeptical but then again thought of giving it a try. The menu was a little difficult to decode, I don't blame them though as to provide a rich Italian experience this will be a part of it. I suppose coming to a conclusion regarding what to eat was the most interesting thing. Their staff kept dropping the cutlery and it was very annoying to just ear the repetitive clunk of the metal hitting the ground. For a minute, we were thinking how much the owner must be having in damages thanks to this exceptional service force he has and felt bad for him. The drinks were below par, the lemonade had no lemons in it and ice tea was a major disappointment. The food was the final blow. There were two pastas ordered and both of them seem to come straight from a hospital canteen, bland and tasteless. Infact, the most disrespectful thing we generally hate to do at a restaurant, but in this case we just had to ask for some salt as the pastas were inedible. The pizzas were ok, nothing that good that the name of the place has to be taxonomically after them. In the end we left more than half of our food and spent a good amount feeling still hungry and...
