We booked a banquet hall for a gathering of 30 people for the Shagan ceremony of my sister in KC Cross Road. Our experience was not good as service for everything was very poor, be it quality of snacks, quality and speed of service, sub-par decoration etc. Being the hosts of the ceremony it was an embarrassing thing where even after chasing the staff and managers continously things were either slow or not available or messy. We were not happy with the following things, Decoration of hall - The hotel was decorated very well due to multiple functions and we were promised certain standards for our hall when we booked the same. But the hall just had the bare minimum which was the stage. We were promised more than this but there is very little we could've get done from the staff at the last moments so had to make do. Snacks - Snacks were not served hot and the presentation was extremely bad. The taste was decent for some dishes however the presentation made it seem like left overs. It was embarrassing to see this food getting served. To top this, the snacks were coming in so slow, we had to wait on the doors and chase the staff to bring in. At a time there were only 2-3 snacks being served although the package had 6 and the discontinuous service made it worse. Presentation and crockery - This hotel really needs to work on the presentation front. The crockery was not uniform, had scratches, plates were chipped. We had to ask them to replace some plates but managing everything is not possible when you have a ceremony going on! This is the basic expectation from the hotel. Even the napkins were so cheap and serving trays and vessels were all different, waiters were dressed poorly. There were other bigger functions going on and clearly their staff was busy there but this doesn't mean you can neglect the service and presentation which you provide to smaller parties. Dishes in package - we were pretty happy with the package and meal we finalized but there were certain dishes missing or different from the list finalized. So on top of quality, we didn't even get the things we paid for. Soups were completely missing, 2 snacks were missing, 1 snack was different than what we finalized. 2 out of 3 desserts arrived late.

All in all you get the picture. You cannot rely on the management and staff here and we felt pretty deceived on the whole thing. It was a big day for my sister and the ceremony was small to respect the gathering guidelines after the lockdowns but it didn't mean it was not important. The hotel really disappointed us and it is such an old establishment, we regretted not finalising any other halls which were available in panchkula.
