If you are craving for authentic South Indian food then Shiv Karthik Restaurant in Sector 20 Panchkula is the place to go. It is situated opposite to Shiv Mandir in the market. Food is yummy & service is excellent. Good thing about this place is they have an open kitchen setup which increases the authenticity of he restaurant as you can see the preparation in front of you. The staff is well trained & hospitable. Jagdish is there star staff his photo is also published in review.

Pongal a special South Indian dish is also available at this place on Sunday for breakfast. Besides this you can get North Indian food too. Prices are reasonable. They have partnered with online delivery services too.

Location wise if you are travelling from Delhi to Shimla you can take a halt as they are 500 meters away from the highway.

Worst experience today in Sec 20 Panchkula branch. Very very Hot , A/C hardly working , inspite of informing staff , nothing done.Suffocating inside infact.

Tomato chutney first served was bitter & sour - totally spoilt but still being served.on pointing out we were served fresh chutney which was ok but with too much chillies : rest of tables continued to be served bad spoilt chutney , as observed !! On asking why spoilt chutney was being served , the staff just grinned !!

The incharge sitting behind cash counter was least bothered too , too busy on phone...definately not on order taking calls !!

Overall too bad an experience - I will not visit this...
