LOCATION: Conveniently located in Howrah Maidan on Panchanantala Road beside Apollo Pharmacy and opposite to Ghosh Mondal Homeo Medicine Shop.

AMBIENCE: The staff is very welcoming and courteous. Sanitiser kept on counter for use. The waiting space is not very spacious.

FACILITIES: Cash & UPI accepted, POS machine not yet available. Home delivery available and free upto 4kms.

FOOD: I had ordered for Fish Fry (Rs. 140), Murshidabadi Chicken Fry (Rs. 95), Mochar Chop (Rs. 55), Chana Motorshutir Chop (Rs. 75). The combos and family pack needs to be ordered a day in advance.

REVIEW: The vegetable fried items were properly fried and the taste was perfect. The fish and chicken fried items could not meet expectations. The coating was hard, the portion of flesh is not enough which reduced the taste. Price is much higher compared to the portion size. We went for dinner at the newly opened 6, Ballygunge place at Chowringhee. They are at Chaudhary Estates property. The restaurant is reasonably large, well lit and spread out. It wasn’t crowded ( maybe b’cos they are new at Chowringhee). The service was attentive and unobtrusive. The captain and waiters know about the dishes and their details and explained them to us( we are not conversant with Bengali language), though we know about the cuisine. We tried fish kabiraji , chandernagore fried fish, koi macher jhol, kosha magsho and poshto in veg. The desserts were also awesome. The best part is, they live up to their reputation for quality.
