Arabian, Middle Eastern, Lebanese, Yemeni, Persian. I have a hard time understanding how distinct these cuisines are from each other, just like how North Indians cannot differentiate between the 4 South Indian languages. While I continue to explore and learn the nuances of these cuisines, the food from Middle Eastern nations continues spread like love! A cuisine that struck a chord with Hyderabadis like no other.
At a time when the culturally diverse and ever evolving city was still exploring the Oriental cuisine beyond noodles and fried rice, had just started to accept the fact that Burgers and Fried Chicken are a meal and not a mere evening snack, while Pizza and Pasta was still between their jaws trying to find its way to the heart, this big brother called Arabian food entered the dining room and enraptured the non vegetarians in a way that caused the biggest disripture in the history of city's culinary scene. So strong was its charm, that it gave Biryani, a dish that the city swears by, a run for its money!
And just like Chinese, the people are now exploring the cuisine beyond Mandi and Shawarma. And leading by example is #ArabianCorner at Gachibowli with its unique and never-see-before menu. The kitchen is run by Yemeni nationals dishing out the most authentic and distinct delicacies from the Middle Eastern nations giving the lovers of the cuisine a breath of fresh air!
Turkei Boti, Moroccan Chicken, Oqdah Laham, Samak Mashwi and Shish Tawooq are some of the stellar offerings from the extensive menu. The Turkei Boti and Lam Leg Roast with Arabian Rice such a delight, you can never get enough of these beauties. Grilled Fish a.k.a Samak Maswhi was another great starter that stayed with me. End your feast with a big bowl of the super rich and nutritious dessert, Areeka
Get yourself introduced to the extended family of Middle Eastern cuisine at this beautiful rooftop restaurant at Gachibowli.

Hit up Arabian Food Corner with some friends on a casual weekend and was genuinely impressed. The place has a great vibe, friendly service, and a solid menu with dishes that really take you back to classic Arabian flavours, especially if you've ever missed Mandi or Bukhari rice from the Gulf.
The Bukhari rice was subtle, fragrant, and not too spicy. The meat was juicy, tender, and fell right off the bone.
The Faham Chicken was grilled to perfection. Smoky, well-marinated, and pairs so well with the rice or just on its own.
The Beef Hanid was another standout. Super soft, flavourful, and cooked just right.
One thing we always love here is the mayo and tomato chutney they serve on the side. They go well with literally everything, and we always end up asking for refills.
The only drawback is the crowd. It’s usually packed, so there can be a bit of a wait. But honestly, that just reflects how good the food is.
A great spot if you're craving authentic Arabian food at...
