Balaji Jalsa Family Dhaba — Restaurant in Hyderabad

Before I start writing, pls note a point that in the restaurant there were only 4 customers on 2 tables. Hence, it was not at a busy time.

One waiter who attended our table was rude. He might hav assumed he was doing a favour. He was in a rush just like an unreserved passenger in a general compartment trying to grab a seat. He was not ready to listen to us properly. Before sitting of the table the strict condition was to order all the order at once, and all will be served at once, he literally said the lines as it is.. Just 'within' 3 mins, and all was on our table, (just imagine how terribly it would've been made..) he quickly served and disappeared. He was not at all listening inspite of shouting to come.

2 out of 3 dishes He served were wrong. One was a curry of wrong quantity(we were in a mess if it was a full or half), we ordered half but got full, other was plain roti, but we were served butter roti.

FOOD: Paneer starter was terrible, over fried from outside, but it was cold from inside, it was a miracle. Paneer chatpata Curry, it was maroon colour, curry was full of chilly powder, and our eyes were full of tears, stomach! It was hell, night was unbearable. Roti..? No fan no AC, but that roti gave my fingers, the much required chill... We were billed higher for wrong quantity served to us. On complaining to owner, rather than screaming at waiter for his misadventure and behaviour, he was ready to prove our mistake... Inspite of all, we did not fight with the waiter nor with the owner, I was were very polite. We just told the owner to rectify the bill, and bill only what I ordered rather than what was served... He argued a lot just for 80 rupees, we were stubborn to teach a lesson to not repeat again with anybody and did not pay the excess...

The waiter behaviour was such that as if he was doing us a favour, and complainant has no right to complain in return of favour received. And We should be hugely rewarded for not complaining about the terrible food as the conditions were laid in advance 😆

The waiter just quickly served and disappeared. He was not at all listening inspite of shouting to come. But may be according to owner at counter, the customer should come to owner/cash counter and complain and discuss the whole matter, the waiter should come and we all three argue loud and hard and all the unnecessary things...

They should understand that the customer came to have a good time and enjoy the food happily, not to run after the waiter and counter and complain(they take or throw back complain back on our face would all be a different story) and ruin the peaceful food time..

Never visit this "Balaji Santosh Family Dhaba" unless you want to ruin your day, money, mood, time, mind, mouth and stomach... Iam not against this restaurant, but I have sympathy for the people who want to...

Worst Bad Pathetic Terrible.. Dont even dare to go. You have multiple restaurants around, do not unnecesarily give a try to this place. We visited with family at 2 in afternoon and none of them were available to offer Menu card, we went to reception and after 3 attempts, a person finally came in and disappeared until we requested again to send some one from frontoffice. Gave up looking at menu card and ordered for VEG KOFTHA, Veg Kadai and stuff Kulcha. They brought everything but 50% of the expected quantities. Asked for it they said they have no idea. Started eating (we served ourselves) and i saw that once of the curry was not Veg Koftha which i could clearly depict and when brought to their notice, server confirmed it was veg koftha. I was little furious that he tried to explain this is what is the curry as if i was not aware.

I reached frontoffice and reported, i later came to know that the guy sitting their is the owner of the restaurant (i said myself if this is the guy who is the owner, then this process is expected) and when i reported about the issue, he said our restaurant does NOT have Veg Koftha how did they serve you.

What more can i tell about the whole tale. i was furious but cannot degrade myself to discuss with such unethical people who does not take good care of their customers and keep up their basic duties. A highway dhaba is lot better in all ways despite ther turnover is not as good as these guys, they atleast know how to respect and serve good food.

DO NOT GO and take chances and encourage such restaurant and spend your money on...

First of all, it's on the first floor when climbing up the steps it is smelling very bad can't even breathe also. After entering into dining area, there are some 10 tables out of which 2 are already filled and we are not allowed to sit where we want to, need to listen to their seating suggestion only even though the place is empty. Coming to the food next, first we ordered paneer majestic the first bite gave a bad feeling of oil in the mouth, it was so bad. The paneer texture and presentation was good but oil gave a very bad taste. Next we ordered Shangai veg. The item is a garbage it's just cabbage, onion, capsicum, carrot shredded fried in different sauces, it was a total garbage and could have been given as a free complimentary, we felt like left over veggies were fried in oil and sauces and its served. Even the waiter didn't say anything about its garbageness. Next we ordered kothmir butter naan, masala kulcha, kaju paneer curry. The kothmir naan was tasteless, no salt also in the flour, the first bite with curry is completely filled with a foul oil smell. Next we tried masala kulcha, they got stuffed kulcha instead of masala kulcha we ordered, even this was so bad, the flour it was tasting bad. We returned it and waiter said...
