We recently visited "La Vie En Rose Cafe & Bistro" and had a mixed experience that left us with both good and bad impressions. The evening started well—the staff greeted us warmly upon arrival and quickly arranged our seating. The ambiance was cozy, making for a pleasant dining environment. A beautiful themed café with distinct, décor-rich sections filled with flowers and teddies, making it a perfect photogenic spot. As we settled in, we ordered a variety of dishes, including spring rolls, crispy corn, Manchurian, and chowmin, along with some drinks. I must say, the food was impressive—especially the spring rolls and crispy corn, which were perfectly cooked and full of flavor. The Manchurian and chowmin were also quite good, and my drink was refreshing and well prepared.
However, our experience took a disappointing turn towards the end. After enjoying our meal, we decided to take some pictures to capture the memories of the evening. Unfortunately, one of the waiters approached us with a rude and unprofessional attitude, which completely ruined the mood. His behavior was unnecessary and quite surprising; given how smoothly everything had gone until that point. This single interaction cast a shadow over what could have been a memorable dining experience.
It is unfortunate that this negative encounter overshadowed all the good aspects of our visit. Had it not been for the rude behavior of that one waiter, I would have easily considered giving these place four stars. The food and ambiance alone were worthy of a good rating, but the way we were treated at the end left us with a sour taste. Despite this, I want to acknowledge that the food was genuinely enjoyable, and I hope the management addresses this issue to ensure that other diners do not have a similar experience. I still recommend this café, as one small incident should not overshadow its overall charm. However, as a reviewer, I believe it is important to share my experience so you know what to expect. The café is lovely and photogenic, but my visit was slightly marred by an unfortunate...
Read moreI had a horrible experience at this restaurant. This restaurant has not mentioned anywhere on their Instagram page or any advertisement post that "no digital cameras are allowed". They have ruthlessly sent us out of the restaurant because of having a camera. I have seen plethora of posts and vlogs about this restaurant which are shot in 4K. When I asked them to allow me take pics using my digital camera(which was a basic model and doesn't even capture 4K shots) they didn't allow me. They allow iPhone which shoot 4K videos but don't allow customers who have basic camera. In the era where people are shooting movies using iPhone are allowed into this restaurant but not people with a basic camera. I don't understand this logic. They didn't even allow me to take a snap, adding to it they are charging 1500 extra for cameras. They should have atleast allowed us take one or two snaps or they themselves should have taken one or two pictures of us(the staff usually help people). I am not visiting this restaurant again and not suggest people to visit.
This is a response for the reply to my review: I asked them many times, I even pleaded them, atleast 4 people told me I am not allowed. Pls speak to the staff, everyone said no. No one told me I can take pictures for 10min(I wrote in my review "they should have atleast allowed us take one or two pictures). Supporting your staff is OK, but without knowing the facts is not correct. I had to cancel the order because their concern was not to waste the already prepared food but not customer satisfaction. I was rude exactly for the same reason. Pls see the surveillance videos, how many people spoke to me, how long I stayed, and how long I waited for their response. Pls don't make false statements on...
Read moreWe recently had dinner at La vie en rose cafe and bistro restaurant, and it was a fun experience. The restaurant's pink theme is everywhere—from the interiors to the roof, which is decorated with artificial pink flowers.
The ordering process was smooth and modern. We simply scanned a QR code on our table, and the digital menu appeared on our phones. We placed our order, and in a reasonable amount of time, our food was served, and the best part was that every single dish was piping hot. The plating was also beautiful and interesting, which added to the dining experience.
Here’s what we ordered:
Pesto chicken pizza: The pizza had a soft base and a generous amount of chicken. While it was a little bland, the flavor profile was unique, making it a very different kind of pizza.
Butter garlic prawns: This dish was served with bread and was mild, buttery, and packed with garlic flavor, just as the name suggests. Personally, I prefer my prawns spicier, but the flavor was still fine.
Alfredo pasta: We tried both the penne and spaghetti versions of the Alfredo. Both were creamy, rich, and full of delicious, mild flavors. Both dishes were incredibly filling—one person would have a hard time finishing a whole plate.
We also ordered garlic bread. The total bill was around Rs.2100.
The service was excellent, with polite and attentive staff. Overall, it was a great experience. We thoroughly enjoyed the hot food, the beautiful plating, and the convenience of the...
