BEWARE- PLEASE AVOID THIS HOTEL AND SAVE YOUR MONEY AND TIME. DON'T GET FOOLED BY THE LIGHTING AND DECORATION OR THE FAKE REVIEWS, TAKE TIME TO SCROLL AND READ THROUGH THE REVIEWS, YOU WOULD UNDERSTAND THAT THE LATEST REVIEWS ARE FAKE, POSTED BY MANAGEMENT AND STAFF TO PUSH DOWN GENUINELY BAD REVIEWS. Firstly, I am writing this review at 12:10 AM is proof enough how disappointed I am. Madina Hotel - Since 1947...but it should have been shut in 1948...yes, it is that bad. This hotel is only running because it is on road in a prime location and in front of Hotel Shadab, people who are unfortunate enough to not get a seat in Shadab come here, because no person with a sane mind would like to eat here. Hygiene - I have seen floors of public toilets cleaner than this place. The basin was stinking, the loo had unflushed turds in it (my 6 yr old son had to use it, and he felt nauseated just after opening the door), and the floor had tissues and lemons scattered all over. If the management who do not care about visible dining area to be clean, just imagine how hygienic their kitchen will be which you can't even see. Service - Though I did not expect a very good service, this was one of the worst service I have seen in Hyderabad, where waiters are quite humble and respectful, it felt as if I am eating in a dhaba in UP...the waiters are rude and lack any manners at all, the order was taken after 30 mins we were seated and the food came 30 mins after that...we literally had to go out at the billing counter and request them to send a waiter to take the order. It's better to wait at Hotel Shadab for 60 minutes and eat there or walk over to hotel Nayaab than put yourself and your family through this unpleasant experience. For the first time in Hyderabad I got up without paying any tip. Food - THEIR FOOD IS PATHETIC. We ordered Tanduri Chicken which was quite dry and their chutney had food color in it. Kashmiri Rogan Josh had bloody curry leaves in it and it was just edible because we were too hungry. Kadhahi mutton tasted only of black pepper and nothing else. Mutton biryani was just ok, I have eaten better biryani at roadside stalls at 150 a plate. Mutton Paaya was literally just water without any taste or texture, we left the entire bowl as it is. The only thing which was not bad was tanduri roti, their Rumali roti was not properly cooked and you could taste the raw maida in it. I have eaten my share of bad food, but this was one of the worst tasting food I have ever eaten. They should fire their cook, or better shoot him. I'd have rather gone to bed on an empty stomach than eat that crass food in such a dirty place and spoil my mood. PS: The pics I have posted are after we had eaten, everything was left over even when their were 7 grownups and 2 6 year olds...

Read moreTerrible Experience – Unprofessional Staff & Scam Practices
I had the worst experience at Madinah Hotel, Charminar, during my recent visit with my family. From the moment we entered, it was a complete disaster.
Misleading Entry Restrictions – The cleaning staff (Danish) claimed the restaurant was closed, but the cashier allowed us inside and directed us to the family section.
Terrible Service & Discrimination – Despite calling multiple times, the staff ignored us and didn’t even bother to clean our messed-up table. After a long wait, a waiter named Mohsin finally came to take our order. He falsely claimed that no biryani or rice was available, yet we clearly saw him serving the same items to other customers who arrived later.
Limited Menu, But Only for Us? – When we requested Rumali Roti, Mohsin rudely said it was unavailable and insisted only butter naan and curry were available. Strangely, after forcing us to order quickly due to the “kitchen closing,” he continued taking orders from multiple customers after us.
Billing Fraud & Possible Scam – We ordered 4 butter naans, and they were served as requested. However, when checking the bill, we noticed that the 1 butter naan were not mentioned. When we asked Mohsin to include them in the bill before paying, he refused and told us to go to the counter, which seems like a deliberate attempt to manipulate the billing process and possibly pocket the extra amount from customers.
UPI Payment Fraud – Mohsin’s UPI receiver’s bank was “busy”, and though my amount got debited, he claimed it didn’t reflect on his end. He demanded repayment, assuring me he would refund the previous payment if it was credited later. After repeated follow-ups, he finally messaged late in the evening and sent the amount back—but only after multiple attempts at contacting him.
This entire experience was a nightmare – horrible service, billing fraud, and a potential scam operation by the staff. I strongly DO NOT recommend this place. Avoid at all costs unless you want to be mistreated...
