This place can give you a good food experience or an equally bad one , it is purely your luck which one you get.
After a decent 6-7 visits to this place for dinner. I had to draw my own conclusions, if the restaurant is half full then just walk away and you will save time effort money and everything else.
They always appear to be short staffed, the owner/manager appears to be running helter skelter when the crowd increases in the restaurant. The waiters never make eye contact with the customer nor do they check if you need water or any other things with your order. This happened on every occasion I visited them.
First visit: All items were good, except the service where the waiters had to be yelled at for service. Never bothered to give us water or ask us for any other stuff. Latest visit few days back: I had ordered for Chicken 65 and 2 butter naan with instructions that get 1 naan first and once the order is on the table he can get me the other. What followed next was hilarious, Got my chicken 65 after 20-22 minutes without naan, when I inquired about the naan , was told that he thought I wanted to try this as a starter and hasn't started making the naan yet. Asked him to hurry it up, they took a good 12 minutes and got both naan together. On top of it , the chicken 65 had loads of color on it , which was nicely present on my fingers after washing them as well. Restaurant had 3 tables occupied...
Read moreI had dropped into Nawabi palate as a quick lunch stop between meetings. I didn't even know it was there, I saw subway and then realised Nawabi palate was next to it. First of, I'd like to say I was pleasantly surprised by the interiors and the decorum. There is even some sari showcase; for the love of sari. We actually initially nearly walked into the kitchen. Their kitchen is open view from the restaurant, in which case you can see the chef's preparing your food; albeit they are a little higher up on the platform so you can't really see everything. While this is a good strategy, I have even seen the maids or whoever they are trying to get stuff off the roof with brooms with cutlery nearby. Sigh. Well the food turned out quite okay. Although I'm a core non vegetarian, I only had veg that day cause I was with a vegetarian and didn't wanna eat too much. They had offers on cocktail drinks. The billing took a long time. And they have some place on the other side outside the hotel where they bill. I think it's also the takeaway place. I'd surely visit again to check out the...
