Nestled in the bustling city of Secunderabad, the Paradise restaurant has become a renowned destination for food lovers from all around the world. With humble beginnings in a small canteen and café in the iconic Paradise cinema theatre in 1953, the brand has now expanded its horizon to various cities in India. What started as a 100-seater restaurant serving delicious Hyderabadi cuisine such as Biryani, has now evolved into a modern and luxurious dining experience. Under the leadership of Mr. A Hemati, who took over from his father and uncle in 1978, the restaurant has undergone several renovations to keep up with the changing food preferences of the society. In 1983, Paradise introduced the Persis Family Restaurant and Takeaway in Secunderabad, offering both air-conditioned seating and takeaway options. As the years went by, the restaurant continued to thrive, even after the closure of Paradise cinema and canteen in 1987. With a vision for growth and innovation, Paradise went through a major restructuring in 1996, expanding both vertically and horizontally. In 2006, the restaurant implemented computerized operations and has since been continuously upgrading its technology. In 2016, a team of experienced professionals was appointed to further the growth plans of Paradise, leading to its expansion into various cities including Bangalore, Chennai, Visakhapatnam, Vijayawada, and Gurugram. With valet parking and multiple dining and parcel sections, Paradise ensures a comfortable and convenient experience for its customers. While the restaurant offers a variety of cuisines, its specialty lies in the iconic Hyderabadi Biryani. The must-try dishes include the mouthwatering chicken and mutton biryani, which are bound to leave your taste buds craving for more. So why wait? Make your way to Paradise restaurant in Secunderabad and treat yourself to a memorable and delicious dining experience. But with its popularity, make sure to expect a bustling crowd and be patient with the busy waiters. Happy dining!

Edit after another visit: Visited again but service is still bad. Air conditioning was not upto the mark even in the night during winter. When asked about it, got a response that it is fixed and can't be changed. Rice was a bit wet so we didn't like it and couldn't finish two biryani we ordered for two people. We asked them to pack it so that we can give it to any beggar. They didn't give any salan or curd and just gave packet with biryani with no carry bag. They refused salan and curd even on request but gave carry bag for which they added 5/- in the bill. We ordered double ka meetha which was good, but the bowl and quantity were pathetic and didn't justify 70/- per portion. Even after complaining that why such small quantity is given, they were not ready to listen and behaved as if they don't care. They have grown too big and don't care what customer thinks as there are enough people (especially tourists) who are flocking to this place compromising on quality and service. Their main focus seems to be on opening multiple branches than maintaining what they already have. Older visit: This is one of the oldest place from where this biryani started. This road is famous for this outlet and is called Paradise circle. Even the metro station nearby is named after it. It has good seating area and has a separate take away section. Seating area is air conditioned but cooling is average. Rice quality is good and biryani (other than Veg) tastes good. Do not go to this place for veg biryani or curries, you will be disappointed. Cold drink served here is priced high and yet served from a 2L pet bottle in a 200ml glass with almost no fizz and proper cooling, so reducing one star. Reducing another star for hygiene as unused gravy, raita from one table may be served to the next customer. We just dipped our eating spoon and took a taste of raita and left it, waiter took away all the plates and gravy but kept it as it is, we had to remind him to throw it away too.

Okay, so this place can be easily located. Ask any Hyderabadian that where is Paradise Circle, I'm sure anybody can give you the direction. 5 mins walk from the Paradise metro station (yeah they have a metro station named after it ;P). At first you are bound to get confused seeing this huge building. Basically the ground floor comprises of the takeaway counters(it's huge), the first floor has an open terrace restaurant, and the second and third has indoor restaurants. Starting with the ambience, it is very good, with pictures of famous personalities everywhere who've visited this place. Next coming to the service, each and everyone of the staff members are very courteous and polite, including the gatekeepers. They are very quick despite the rush. Now coming to the food, yeah obviously this place has the world's favourite and the most famous Biryani. So we had ordered Chicken Reshmi Kebab, Mutton Biryani and a Chicken Biryani. Let me be honest, I am from Kolkata, and we know that here in Kolkata we have potato in Biryani which makes it out of this world, and for me Kolkata's biryani still remains favourite. Their Biryani is awfully tasty, yeah they have a more strong flavour compared to the Kolkata Counterpart, the meat pieces are extremely juicy and soft, cooked to ultimate perfection. I actually loved it very much, despite not having to eat potato in the biryani. One thing I would add is that the Kebab pieces were a bit small compared to the price we are paying for it, also a single plate of Biryani(be it Chicken or Mutton) can easily serve two average people. The mutton version contains 8 small pieces of meat, while the chicken contains 1 huge piece. Well that's all I had in store for this place, I hope to surely visit Paradise the next time I'm in Hyderabad. Also the person who served us, named Dhruba, he's a really kind and polite guy. He always dons a smile on his face which adds a feather to his cap. Cheers to Paradise!

Well, I understand many have written great reviews about it, and mine would be just simple addition to that simply praising its biryani... I was in Hyderabad for some official work and I was more than excited to visit paradise biryani... within 20 hrs, visited twice (one just before catching the train) Nope, it's not my first time, it was my 4th time in the city and though my Hyderabadi friends suggest trying other “known” biryani places, I always end up here. As everyone knows this is the first outlet of the paradise franchise… Upon entering you can see a glimpse of the history of paradise and Hyderabad on their walls, also, they have a section which is dedicated to celebs who came and feast on its famous biryani including Sachin Tendulkar. Coming to food- I ordered mutton Nizami biryani, I chose spicy which means double masala for them. Each bite, full of sumptuous taste - its real foodgasm. Rice perfectly cooked, mutton ( not typical mutton bones) pieces are real soft n juicy (not hard ones)... Can't even find anything off in it.. as I said I was there for 2 continuous meals, so one instance, ordered Chettinad Murg tikka - it was great too.. soft, pinkish color inside, juicy Well, they do know how to please ur tastebuds. Service was also top-notch, I asked 3/4 times for salad and they happily obliged that. They do have 3 floors for this which they name Gold 1/2/3. Now I am not sure when I'll visit this lovely city again... I spent a few years in the USA as well and you can also find paradise over there which they say we are associates to Hyderabad one but I highly doubt that...

THE PLACE HAS LOST ITS CHARM. It used to be my favourite restaurant until few years ago. But now everything's changed in there. The Paradise biryani's legendary taste is not found anymore. The quantity they serve has become very less too. Apart from that, the Apollo Fish tastes more bland and just the batter taste. The Murgh Dum Pukht tasted decent with its tender meat and the flavours. Coming to the service. It has become pathetic. First things first, there is not even the basic cutlery on the table and need to ask the waiters for the spoon and fork. If you're lucky enough they might bring it for you soon. Or your food might just get cold or it might never arrive (as in my case). Next, the raita and mirch ka salan is served in a bowl which has a quantity of 1 tablespoon. You might say, "No! The bowl is bigger than a table spoon". But once you empty the bowl, you'll know. When you request for another bowl of raita, it takes as long as the old version of Internet Explorer to load. The waiters seemed too scared and as if threatened that they were not even coming around the table and one just ran away when we asked him to serve the food onto the plate. We asked one waiter for a spoon , a bowl of pudina chutney and a bowl of raita. And he brought us 3 bowls of raita and went even without listening to what we had to tell. I'm sorry to tell, this Paradise has been my favourite restaurant for many years since my childhood but it is no more now. It has just become an expensive place which is not even worth that much.
