Pragathi tiffin center is simply par excellence... I mean simple and excellent! I have had my first experience of the tiffin centre from about 20 years back, I would have idlies which costed rupees 5 and endless limitless chutney and the gunpowder, I would often get a litre of chutney for a plate of idli.followed by the same formula but the base was upma. The two two plates would fill up my young tummy.
the taste of the idli which would literally melt in my mouth with a distinct chutney and the spicy gunpowder is unique and survives the test of time
I've been to the same tiffin centre couple of times after a gap of 20 years, you would be surprised that the price of a plate of idli is rupees 20 increase four times its price 20 years back.
the taste remains the same and the flavour of curry leaves on the chutney keeps working its magic, we are wedded to the taste forever.
I see that the menu has a lot of variety of dosas and what started as a bandi ( cartwheel) idli has relatively larger space in the dinghy lanes of Hanuman tekdi You will still struggle to park if you go by a car, two wheelers no problem you can create space, and if there is not enough there are enough trees whose branches can hold many bikes!
but who cares for lack of parking space the taste is so alluring that you are ok to fill up a parking challan than missing out on the wonderful taste of pragathi tiffin centre
More power to this amazingly delightful place which caters to old and young, rich and poor alike.
We should have more search tiffin centres that truly delivers on the promise of good, healthy Indian breakfast without being greedy to earn windfall profits Needless to say I love this place and would recommend it multiple times over Pragathi tiffin centre I...
