Disappointed by the attitude, not just the chutney
Visited Varalakshmi Tiffins in Nallagandla expecting a hearty South Indian meal, but left with a bitter taste-not from the food, but the service. When I politely asked for a little extra chutney, I was curtly told, “We can’t give more chutney for you”—in a tone that felt downright inhospitable.Moreover food is packed with bare hands with hand stain spots in the food .0 for hygiene.
It wasn’t about the chutney. It was the dismissive attitude, the lack of basic courtesy, and the feeling that customers are just transactions here. For a place that prides itself on traditional flavors, the warmth and hospitality were sorely missing.

Read moreA few months ago, I came across news regarding hygiene issues at Varalakshmi Tiffins in DLF. Hoping things had improved, I visited their Nallagandla outlet today. Unfortunately, I was completely shocked by what I saw.
There was no wash basin drainage available for customers, and I noticed the staff preparing chutneys in visibly dirty plastic buckets. One of the workers was mixing the chutney with his bare hands, and then rinsed them inside the idli batter mixing machine. It was extremely unpleasant and unhygienic to witness.

I have been to their kitchen during their inauguration, frankly all they follow are just simply straightforward and hygienic. They use ruchi gold palm oil( top in market) as oil Infact many of us does not use it at home.
Only thing I didn't like was space, it is very tight but cozy. The board is hard to find. Rest all is happy that we have good food around now...
