We wanted to visit a meal thali place for such a long time. After seeing multiple good reviews for their thali we visited yesterday only to be disappointed and told in our face that they don't serve meals for those who come with a zomato or Swiggy booking.
From the moment we entered we were asked how did we made the booking. We told it was via zomato. ( There was a flat 20% off of the total bill offer in zomato). We were seated. When we asked for a veg thali and non veg thali, we were told that it's over. We asked multiple servers because it was not even 2.30 pm. And we can't beleive that meals is over by that time itself. One told curries were over. Another one told we are supposed to call them and tell them that we are coming for meals and ask them to reserve for it. Not knowing what else to do, as we were hungry we ordered a biryani and ate which was to be honest average and quantity was very less for the price. (499+ taxes) To our shock, 10 mins after we started eating they were serving meals to other tables. We asked the servers why was we told it was over and how come you're serving others.
There was no solid answer. We were clearly disappointed and upset and paid the bill via zomato and left. In the front desk while leaving we asked again because we feel it's a discrimination. At that time they are telling that they DO NOT SERVE meals for those who book via Swiggy or zomato offers.
This is clear discrimination. Which made the whole experience very bitter. The most frustrating part is this was not informed tous when we entered. We went there just because we want to taste thier meals. They even noted down that my booking is via zomato when I entered the restaurant. But I wasn't informed by any of the waiters or the front desk that the meals won't be a part of the offer voucher via zomato. If we were informed this before hand we simply wouldn't have opted for zomato and paid them directly for the meals. But they didn't inform us at all and only denied later. Our offer from zomato actually was only 100 rs which we wouldn't have opted if it was informed to us. We were ready to pay 400 and 750 rs for veg and non veg thali. Those who book a voucher via Swiggy or zomato, please note that meals won't be served to you even if you ask multiple times.
Extremely unprofessional behaviour by the staff not only ruined our experience but also we doubt we will visit again because we travelled more than 10 kms for...
Read moreHola people vivaha bhojanambu is located at Jubilee hills near to shake studio and opposite 10J restro. The ambience is good with very well seating arrangement for both outside and inside people. While we visited the restaurant Telangana food festival was going on so the restaurant was filled with people we had to wait 15 min to get our table. They had given rava laddu as a complementary.
We had ordered 3 starters Golconda Kodi, fish chips, kurumurthy mutton kebab. Golconda Kodi comes with piece of chicken wrapped in btw a slice of potato it tasted yummy with the chicken being juicy inside and potato being crunchy outside with the chilly powder adding flavour to it. Fish chips was not upto the mark the fish was smelling a little bit. Kurumurthy mutton kebabs were also yummy I would say that it is a local version of pathar ka gosh with correct amount of spices added to it and it was juicy at the same time too. For the main course we had ordered Keema pulav, potlam keema pulav, ulli Kodi pulav, pachi mirchi Kodi pulav, avakaya Kodi pulav, papuucharu mamsam rice(sambar mutton rice), they also have 3 varieties of thalis one veg and 2 veg in which we have rayalseema bhojnam and Raju gari bhojnam I have ordered Raju gari bhojnam in which we get a special rice, egg curry, chicken curry, mutton curry, fish curry, prawns fry, dal, rasam, curd, papad, and swertd. The Keema pulav tasted good the difference btw potlam keema pulav and Keema pulav is potlam pulav comes wrapped with omlet. pachi mirchi Kodi pulav also tasted good with correct amount of spicy in it with green chilli paste and chicken. ulli Kodi pulav the name only suggests a pulav with flavour of garlic in it and sambar mutton rice stealed the show with tanginess of sambar and crctly cooked mutton was the perfect combination. The thali also tatsed good fish gravy was awesome with tanginess of gravy and prawns fry...
Read moreLocated in the plush locality of Jubilee Hills, Vivaha Bhojanambu is located right next to AnTeRa Kitchen and Bar. The decor is minimal and simple, and there are partitions that separate the restaurant into sections.
We were served a bottle of Goli Soda. I first thought it was a regular packaged one, but this one is made in house. This was followed by a glass of Rajamundry Rose Milk which had a good consistency and flavour.
For starters we had Konaseema Paneer Vepudu, Palavelli Mushroom Vepudu, Spicy Corn Rolls and veg sticks. Konaseema Paneer Vepudu was outstanding. It was a version of Ghee Roast Paneer that I’ve had.The Spicy Corn Rolls weren’t spicy, BUT it was nicely done.
Moving on to the mains, I was served Methikura Paneer along with a roti basket. It actually had methi leaves. I was also served my favourite Gutti Vankaya Pulao which was extremely flavoursome.
Then came the Pappuchara and Annam along with a variety of podis. Loved the podis with ghee, a must try for sure.
We had their three classic and top-selling desserts. Sitaphal Rabdi (custard apple rabdi, seasonal), Jamun Delight and Junnu. I’ve not tasted Sithapal in a long time, but this rabdi, I must say was so good.
I thoroughly loved the food. Like my friend said that I’ve become a localite, I can say that few things were simply amazing here, like the Paneer Konaseema Vepudu, Spicy Corn Rolls and Guthivankaya Pulao. I’ll surely come back for these and the Goli Soda along with the Sitaphal Rabri.

PS: While this was intended to be a regular dinner affair, the entire experience was taken care of by the restaurant and hence the food was on the house. However, this is an...
