#AnTeRa, a posh regional cuisine restaurant ( Andhra, Telangana and Rayalaseema) that started this month in upscale Jubilee Hills area is making noises around the city with its plush ambience, regional tastes and a bar to enjoy social drinking.

They are running houseful since their opening which shows that they have made quite a buzz in the market. They have huge seating capacity ( easily 100) with enough waiter table ratio, but once the place gets crowded both serving and kitchen staff getting confused with orders and serving. As this is their initial phase, hope things settle down for them and we would have a better picture of how well things would be handled. A quick look at the menu, it was evident that they wanted to keep their menu short and had limited options, given three regions to be covered.

We quickly ordered starters thotakura liver fry, nalgonda mutton fry, makka Jonna wada and royyala fry. Thota kura liver fry tasted good and spicy 😋. Makka jonna wada that came later also tasted near to what we get to eat at home. Non veg however wasn't near to being impressive as veg was. Prawns in Royyala fry was total chewy and dint go well on the table. Nalgonda mutton fry was incositent with meat cuts, wherein few tasted good and few chewy. Manager offered to compensate with couple dishes quail fry and popular Bangla kodi. While quail fry was decent and better one I've tasted among others, bangla kodi again was a flop. It was almost like it was dipped in oil without frying adequate amount and brought on to the table hurriedly. Oil was oozing out of the dish and the Crispy potato layer of the chicken was falling off as it was soggy and uncooked. We had to return the dish again and hit mains.

Avakaya pappu annam with pachi pulusu was very good and everyone on the table enjoyed the dish to the fullest. Pappu charu annam, another veg dish tasted homely. Mamsam ghee roast pulao in non veg was just about decent and felt pretty normal to us.

We did not want to order any more mains, as by then we dint want to take risk anymore and service was being delayed due to heavy crowd. We ordered jaggery ice cream with bobbatlu, leches and panacotta in desserts. Both jaggery ice cream and leches tasted very good. We even repeated leches as it tasted very good. Panacotta was Okish.

Their ambience is nice, they are trying to cope with naive staff and huge crowd, their veg food was good and their non veg was average at best. Our experience was pretty Okish, but would reserve my conclusion on this place until next visit, as the place is...

I recently had the pleasure of organizing a family gathering at this wonderful restaurant, and I must say, it was an experience worth sharing. We had pre-booked for over 20 people, and right from the moment we made our reservation, the staff was incredibly attentive to every detail. They took the time to understand our requirements and ensured everything was in place for our event.

On the day of the gathering, the restaurant exceeded our expectations in every way possible. The service was impeccable, with the staff going above and beyond to make sure everyone was comfortable and that there were no issues whatsoever. Every request we made, no matter how small, was met with a prompt and courteous response. It was clear that they were dedicated to making our experience as enjoyable as possible.

The food, of course, was the highlight of the evening. Each dish was served hot and fresh, bursting with flavor, and beautifully presented. The variety offered was impressive, catering to all tastes within our group, and everyone was thoroughly pleased with the quality of the food. The restaurant made sure to replenish dishes promptly and even provided additional servings without hesitation.

In addition to the outstanding service and delicious food, the ambience of the restaurant deserves special mention. The setting was elegant and comfortable, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere that was perfect for our family gathering. The decor was tasteful, and the seating arrangement allowed us to interact easily with one another.

One of the most memorable aspects of the evening was the special effort made by the restaurant to accommodate our cake-cutting celebration. They provided us with a lovely space, making it a joyous occasion that added a personal touch to our gathering. It truly felt like they were just as invested in our celebration as we were.

Overall, this restaurant provided an exceptional experience that left a lasting impression on all of us. From the seamless management of our event to the top-notch service, delicious food, and beautiful ambience, everything was handled with care and professionalism. I highly recommend this restaurant for any gathering, big or small, where you want everything to go smoothly and enjoyably. We look forward to returning for another...

To live a full life, you have to fill your stomach first. Now, let's talk about the food!!

  1. Paya Shorba ( 4.5 out of 5)- The first impression was the mutton was boiled and stirred so well which enhanced the taste, it was juicy and the mutton meat was wow! 2)Eli paya Karam Kodi vepudu-( 3.5 out of 5)- To put in a simple words chicken was tender and no foul smell at all, decent taste. This need not be an obvious choice to order 3)Antera special wings- (4 out of 5)- I loved it thoroughly, A well marinated chicken barbequed to perfection is always refreshing for our taste buds isn't it?
  2. Jalepino fizz (1 out of 5)- Please avoid 5)Egg 65- (2.75 out of 5)- It is an just an average affair during the most enjoyable moments 6)Nellore chepala pulusu with ghee rice-( 3.5 out 5)- Ghee rice is delicious and chepala pulusu tasted like Papu charu for me and i was quick to grab and feed myself those extra rice bites 😀 6)Nalgonda Mutton fry-(5 out of 5) Mutton is the best meat when cooked to textbook perfection, I will say wow, it was juicy, tender and the masala's definitely enhanced the taste and we ordered it twice!!!! 7)Chittimuthayala Kheema pulav- (4.25 out of 5)- I always feel Chittimuthayala rice has a better taste than Basmati rice, all the masala's added were perfect and and the minced Mutton ❤️ don't have much adjectives to write, just go for it!!
  3. Blue Lagoon (5 out of 5)- It reminded me of our Bangalore cafeteria's taste
  4. Crispy corn (4.25 out 5)- we underestimated the Veg food, much to our surprise we are impressed so let's not ignore veg starters going forward!!!
  5. Tender coconut water- no rating, it is just a marketing gimmick, please go out and drink coconut water
  6. Kobbari milk -(4.5 out of 5)-I am not sure how is this prepared, just enjoy the tender coconut peices and the water ❤️ It is naturally sweet that's what makes me give this dish a great rating 12)Fruit punch-(4.5 out of 5)- Sweet and Tangy is the best combination when it comes to juices. I loved it thoroughly. 13)Antera's special (4.25 out of 5) Leches- Delicious!!! Are we eating Milkybar 😀
  7. Loose prawns- (5 out 5)- Prawns are as good as Cotton candy, just chew and swallow it in one bite ❤️. I want to eat one more time!
