I visited this place based on a colleague’s recommendation, and honestly, it turned out to be one of the worst dining decisions I’ve ever made. This restaurant is the perfect example of a scam—serving absolute roadside thela slop under the guise of restaurant food, with price tags that would make a five-star chef blush. The most shocking part? The place was crowded. Clearly, a big chunk of Jaipur has never experienced what real Chinese food actually tastes like. Either that, or their taste buds have long given up on them.
Let’s get to the food—or whatever abomination they serve under that label. I ordered Paneer Fried Rice, Manchurian, Veg Chowmein, Malai Chaap, and Chilli Paneer Gravy. What I got in return was a plateful of horror. First, the paneer wasn’t real. God knows what weird, rubbery substitute they’re passing off as paneer—it tasted and looked like a chemical experiment gone wrong.
Secondly, and this is honestly laughable—they use the exact same nauseating, greasy, artificially-colored gravy for every single dish. It’s like they’ve cracked the code for mass-producing heart attacks. The gravy is nothing but a vile mix of low-quality sauces, cornflour sludge, artificial coloring, vinegar, chili powder, and a complete absence of flavor or subtlety.
Even the Veg Fried Rice—normally the safest, most basic dish—was a joke. No carrots, no beans, no cabbage. Just some long-grain sela rice that looked and tasted like it came from a cheap dhaba's leftover pile, and of course, more of that gross fake paneer and garlic, swimming in red-tinted oil to make it “look” spicy.
The Malai Chaap? Don’t get me started. It’s basically white chemical paste pretending to be cream, mixed with the kind of cheap, starchy mayo you'd expect in a low-end bakery, not a kitchen. I’m pretty sure they’re using the cheapest available soybean oil to cook everything, which explains the disgusting aftertaste and the heavy feeling in the stomach after just a few bites.
This wasn’t just bad food—it was offensively bad. It was unhealthy, cheaply made, and an outright insult to anyone who’s ever enjoyed actual Chinese cuisine. Nepal’s street-side joints serve food miles better than this garbage.
If you care even a little about your health or taste buds, avoid this place like the plague. If you actually enjoy the food here, you might want to see a doctor—because either your taste buds are broken, or you’ve never in your life eaten proper Chinese food. This place is a culinary disaster dressed up as...
Read moreIrecently had the pleasure of dining at Chinese Corner in Jaipur, and I must say, it was an absolute delight! This quaint little eatery serves up some of the most scrumptious Chinese fast food I've had in a long time.
The moment I walked in, I was greeted by the friendly staff, who were eager to take my order. I opted for the Tandoori Momos, which I'd heard were a must-try, and boy, were they famous for a reason! The momos were cooked to perfection, with just the right amount of spices and herbs. The tandoori twist added a smoky flavor that took them to a whole new level.
But what really impressed me was the variety of options available. I also tried the Soya Chaap and Paneer Tikka, both of which were incredibly tasty. The Soya Chaap was marinated to perfection, with a beautiful balance of spices and flavors. The Paneer Tikka was equally impressive, with succulent pieces of paneer cooked to perfection.
The staff at Chinese Corner were extremely courteous and attentive, ensuring that my experience was nothing short of exceptional. The ambiance, while simple, was clean and well-maintained, making it a great spot for a quick bite.
In terms of value for money, Chinese Corner is a clear winner. The prices are extremely reasonable, and the portions are generous, making it a great option for students, working professionals, and families alike.
Overall, I highly recommend Chinese Corner to anyone craving delicious Chinese fast food in Jaipur. Be sure to try their signature Tandoori Momos, Soya Chaap, and Paneer Tikka – you won't be...
Read moreI am not a person who’s big on street food but this local joint came highly recommended hence I decided to give it a shot! We tried a portion of their Steamed and Tandoori Momos along with a plate of Chowmein. The momos were okay-ish. The chutney was really spicy and I enjoyed it. The chowmein was a star - the typical desi Chinese variant that would instantly transport you to school days. The hygiene was definitely an issue but the outlet was so busy that you could definitely tell the ingredients were fresh! Pretty easy on the pocket and service...
