One of the worst experiences of my life when I visited this place for lunch on March 01, 2020. While selecting a restaurant for visit, I consider speed of service, ambience, quality of food and integrity & intent of the serving staff. If the last one is missing, then I chose to ignore the place. The staff of Soice Court is not at all trustworthy. Hence, one should have every reason to boycott this restaurant. I placed order for veg & non veg dishes in lunch for my family. The portions I placed demanded were more than our appetite and full Boneless Butter Chicken was 3/4 th in the bowl plus some Lal Maas. My wife ordered for packing of the left over food. It took the concerned waiter 10 - 15 minutes to deliver the same. We were sure of the quantity of Boneless Butter Chicken, but to my astonished disbelief I found that it was just a formality in the name of packing when the plastic container was opened today ie 2nd March, 2020. I drew the attention of one Mr. Jai Chandra the alleged Manager of the restaurant who assured to do thorough investigation and come back to me. I sent timing and my family photo to him to arrive at logical conclusion & even check the quantity in the bowl when we finished food. He came back with an answer that he couldn’t see properly the quantity in the dishes once we finished our lunch and the area of packing isn’t under CCTV surveillance. Hence, sorry for this unfortunate incidence and offered me free of cost delivery of full Butter Chicken, which obviously I had to turn down to caution all those guests who frequent this restaurant. This clearly indicates that the waiter had done some mischief before transferring the remainder portion from bowl into plastic container. If the packing area isn’t under CCTV surveillance, then everything is possible. We as customers have every reason not to patronize such eating joints that are dubious in terms of customer service. The outcome was that my wife has thrown the container outside with this understanding that it was not our left over, it was waiter’s. Who would ever think of this restaurant to visit? It has visitors from many states & loads of foreigners. Who will believe...

When it cones to authentic Rajasthani Laal Maans, a few places have made it to the hall of fame. Spice Court is one of them. It's a posh restaurant with both indoor and outdoor dining, the latter available in the evening. The menu is crisp and brief, unlike most other restaurants where a lot of items are on offer which mostly turn out to be iterative. I liked that. Now about the food;- The Laal Maans owes it's name from its appearance. It's a madhouse of spices! The first flavour that strikes you is the sour taste. Following the sour note you taste all the other spices. This dish is an uncanny blend of sour and hot flavours. The hot flavour dominates towards the end as it passes down the throat. This is not the regular hot flavour of green chilli or pepper but this is more sort of dry and punchy hot flavour of dried rajasthani chillies that kicks in from down the throat; perfectly parallels the climate of Rajasthan, dry and sultry. Best had with tandoori roti or laccha paratha or steamed rice. I tried it with both tandoori roti and lachha paratha. The lachha paratha is fried in pure ghee. I tried their gulab jamun too. It's served hot. This place is definitely not a cheap place to dine out. But the foid is good. The staff is courteous and professional. The floor manager is very welcoming and didn't keep a stone unturned in order to make me feel at home. I liked that. Bottomline - This is a costly but nice place to visit on a weekend night and the laal maans...

With high hopes we reached "Spice Court", it was a Saturday evening. I heard many good reviews of this place. This place has very good ambience, but I think it was not a lucky day for us... We ordered 2 starters, Raj Sula and Chiken Tikka and couple of drinks, out of which Raj Sula was too dry and not properly cooked, same goes with Chicken Tikka, tenderness of meat was missing and it seems like it was taken out of freezer and it was undercooked. For main course, we ordered famous Laal Maas and Chicken Buna, been a local and from Rajput family I understand the flavours. We asked it to be less spicy as we had kid with us, Laal Maas has no taste in curry literary no flavour and too thin although pieces were cooked properly, Chicken Buna was better comparatively. Few more things which were observed - Staff was not serving anything, be it soft drink, they just kept the Coke can on table, same goes with Starters and Main course. Dishes were simply put on the table. Staff was very courageous but not trained I presume. This place is heritage, if it's service level is improved along with taste, this could be one of the best places in Jaipur. Raj. Sula were taken out of my bill as it was not to my expectation, which is good way, but was added back as I insisted.

Hope Kuldeep ji will take a note of my observations in positive way. It may be a one off day in kitchen for chef,I would definately try this again for...

The most sought after and legendary restaurant in Jaipur for the Laal Maas it serves. We just went around and asked a few locals in the city to Recommend us the best place to have Laal Maas and everyone just had Spice Court on their lips! My friends regularly visit Jaipur for business and not even once they have returned without dining at this restaurant in Civil Lines so this time I tagged along and being a hardcore foodie, the goal was to try the best Jaipur had to offer. Ambience - 5/5 This is the kind of restaurant I love visiting. The one which has lavish interiors and opens up to a huge garden. There was some folk dance being done by some local entertainers, which is the true spirit of Rajasthani hospitality. I loved the overall ambience. Minimalistic and yet so captivating. Food - 5/5 Started our dinner with Tomato Shorba and ordered the Laal Maas and Dal Makhani alongwith Indian breads for main course. Highly Recommended. Perfect flavour and spices. Service - 5/5 The stewards at Spice Court are very well trained and display high degree of professionalism. They give you the royal treatment and justify the theme of this restaurant. Good work team!
