This place came highly recommended from a couple of friends and I decided to have dinner there with my family on my birthday! The place was surprisingly crowded for a Monday evening – the struggle started from parking and continued till we were inside trying to look for a place to sit. Beautifully done up place – it was pretty, stylish, with light music, spacious – absolutely no complaints with the ambience and feel of the place. In fact, the two stars in the review are only for that. Everything after that was downhill! The place was very poorly managed – we had to struggle to first find out how to get a table, whom to contact? When we did find someone to guide us, we were told there is a waiting of at least half an hour, may be more. When we were about to leave for some other place, we were accommodated at a corner table in the open sitting area (it’s middle of December and we were unprepared to sit in the open, but had no choice). The table was in pitch dark – we had to use mobile phone torch to even read the menu. The order was quickly placed and we were told that we would be served in 10-15 minutes. We could see the chaos amidst the untrained staff – the orders coming out of the kitchen were being directed-and-redirected to various tables. We were shivering, hungry and worried – as several times the trays coming towards our table were redirected to other tables. There were guests who came 30 minutes after us were also being served. 45 minutes after ordering when we enquired the staff, we were told that our K.O.T. (Kitchen Order Ticket) was totally missed. In spite of this careless delay, there was no effort from their end to expedite the order! After another 15 minutes or so, they started serving us the ordered dishes one after the other – but the confusion continued as the ones serving were not even sure what was ordered and what was being served. Another sign of untrained staff and poor communication and management. The worst was yet to come – the food served was disappointing. Imagine – what can be common to a Tomato Soup, a triple decker Chicken Club Sandwich, Chicken Tacos, Lamb filled Pita and Slow Cooked Chicken Lasagna?? Any guesses? Well, they all tasted of tomato ketchup – sweet-and-sour and very tomato-yi!! Even the dips and salads accompanying were all sour. We left almost every dish unfinished – the birthday dinner...

The soft, ambient lighting and tasteful decor created a relaxing environment, aptly setting the stage for the delightful meal that was to unfold.
Our journey commenced with the luscious Pink Sauce Pasta, which was a veritable symphony of flavors. The sauce was creamy and perfectly seasoned, embracing the pasta in a delicate, velvety cocoon that was simply too good and left us craving more.
The OTC Pizza, though only average in taste, presented a decent blend of flavors. While it didn't quite hit the high notes we were hoping for, it offered a satisfactory bite that was pleasant in its own right.
Next, the Roasted Pizza took our taste buds on a delectable ride with its perfectly charred crust and a heavenly amalgamation of toppings. It was unequivocally "too good", offering a tantalizing mix of smoky and savory flavors that danced delightfully on our palates.
The Falafel was a good, hearty dish, providing a satisfying crunch and a nicely balanced blend of spices that offered a subtle kick, while the Garlic Bread, elevated slightly above the norm, offered a nice, crisp exterior and a soft, flavorful interior.
The Double Chocolate Coffee was, in a word, enchanting. The rich, velvety chocolate paired exquisitely with the robust coffee, culminating in a "too good" concoction that was both comforting and invigorating.
Concluding our meal, the Smoothies presented a refreshing and good endnote, providing a light, fruity reprieve that cleansed our palates and left us feeling satisfied and refreshed.
In sum, The Mangolia Cafe offers a largely delightful culinary experience with a few minor hiccups along the way. The service was attentive and timely, ensuring our needs were met with a warm, genuine smile. While some dishes may have room for improvement, the overall quality, ambiance, and service render it a worthy stop on any food...
Read moreWent in with very high expectations, there was an birthday event, wherein the parking was a issue, so parked at Nearby garden, went down on walking, saw a waiting list so added name in where in waiting was of 30 mins, then waited for 30 mins, saw that booking person missed my name, didn’t called me, then he gave us a table after asking while entering saw that table is occupied, asked the same person that table is occupied, shifted us to another table where there was no fan or cooling system, waited for 10 mins that some would come and serve or ask for water no one came, so we thought we are fool’s let’s ask the counter manager to help us, so he came out and saw and went back to 2 waiters to shift the tale to some where breezy, but as usual both of them didn’t agreed to shift it, we agreed to shift to another table, but other table were too occupied, so kept on standing for few mins, and started gazing at the manager, he came near me and said it’s a new place we are still understanding, i said it’s ok we do understand, please arrange a table and a glass of water at least, but nothing happened, I asked my wife that let’s go some where else on our first date after marriage, and definitely we will remember our first foolish way to accept services from a unmanaged restaurant, we went out and I personally said bye to the counter manager with a wave.
End result brand name doesn’t make it better, better people make it better, and I think lazy mojo shall train the manager first, 2nd the queue manager shall be trained how to manage it, we go out to these eatery to make memories and The magnolia is definitely making it.
Worst experience, bad effect, not good, not comparable to any dhaba, soon bad reviews are...
