My wife and I visited this restaurant on 17th February 2025 for an early dinner. We ordered Onion Rava Dosa (but were served a regular Onion Dosa instead), Kothu Parotta, and Paniyaram. Unfortunately, the following day, both of us experienced severe food poisoning, including around six hours of continuous vomiting and dysentery. As a result, we had to cancel our planned trip to Sonamarg on 18th February.

Thankfully, my wife is a doctor, so we were able to manage the situation with some medications. Otherwise, we would have likely needed medical attention.

While this is a delayed review, I felt compelled to share our experience as i remembered this incident while discussing our Kashmir trip with a friend today. I sincerely hope the restaurant management, especially the owner, takes this feedback seriously and looks into the matter to prevent such incidents for future guest. If owner thinks this is a fake review, he/she can check the bill amount Rs. 775 paid on 17th Feb 2025, 5.10PM.

Response to the Owner's Comment:

I’m quite surprised and disappointed by your response, especially your allegation that my review is fake. On what basis are you claiming that I did not dine at your restaurant? Can you provide any proof to support such a serious accusation?

My wife and I visited your establishment on February 17th, 2015. We had only some fruits for breakfast at Pahalgam and skipped lunch due to our road journey from Pahalgam to Srinagar, which included a few brief stops to purchase dry fruits and saffron. After a Shikara ride on Dal Lake, we arrived at your restaurant around 4 PM and had our first proper meal of the day there. We consumed no other food afterwards and slept early for the night. Unfortunately, around 2 AM, my wife began vomiting, followed shortly by myself. The next day we had to cancel our Sonamarg trip.

Given these circumstances, it is only reasonable to suspect that the food we consumed at your restaurant may have been the cause of our food poisoning. Unless you are able to categorically prove otherwise, dismissing our experience so aggressively seems unfair and unprofessional.

I chose to visit your restaurant as a fellow Tamilian, wanting to support a business from my community. It is quite disheartening to be accused of leaving a fake review with the intent to harm your business. I urge you to respond to customer feedback with humility and responsibility rather than defensiveness and...

Very expensive. Plate of medu vada for 90/- Your response was not polite. The medu vada at your place is priced at Rs. 79/- and not 90/- as indicated but which is again at much higher price. I still have a copy of your bill. Also, I was served pre-prepared wadas which were soggy because those were heated in an owen. Since you are trying to match South Indian taste, you should be aware that medu wadas should be crispy and not soggy. Your response is misleading because you wrote that you import the stuff all the way from Tamil Nadu however, everybody knows that the major items for preparing south indian food are available in Srinagar with moderate prices. It is upon me to decide where to eat South Indian food and you need not suggest me to eat the same only in South. The kind of language you used in your response was not expected. You have to learn to be polite with customers.

PLEASE BE INFORMED THAT I WAS IN YOUR RESTRAUNT ON 9.7.25 AND ALSO HAVE COPY OF YOUR BILL/INVOICE. IS THAT OKAY NOW OR YOU WANT TO ADD NEW EXCUSE ? YOU CHARGED ME RS. 79/- FOR TWO SOGGY WADAS WHICH WERE NOT...

I recently visited a South Indian restaurant owned by a unique duo—a Kashmiri and a Tamil, and the combination of their backgrounds brings something special to the experience. The food is a true reflection of authentic South Indian flavors, with the Tamil roots of the owners evident in every dish. The masala dosa was absolutely top-notch, capturing the exact same taste I remember from my time in the South. The idli was light and perfectly textured, while the uttapam was deliciously made, with the right balance of toppings and batter. The sambar vada and medu vada were both excellent, with the sambar being flavorful and the vada crispy on the outside yet soft on the inside. The Mysore rava masala dosa and onion dosa were a delight, and I could easily enjoy them every day! To finish, the filter coffee was the perfect cherry on top—a rich, aromatic brew that made the meal complete. The blend of Kashmiri and Tamil ownership adds a unique charm to the place, and the authenticity of the South Indian dishes makes it a must-visit. Highly recommended!

I visited this Place after seeing an advertisement on Instagram as my nieces are south Indian. Unfortunately, my experience did not align with the expectations set by the advertisement. The dosa was served only with coconut chutney and sambar which was totally worst , no tomato chutney was served with dosa, dosa was too thick and oily. The taste was also bland. Additionally, the Chicken 65 was not authentic; it tasted more like roadside kashmiri chicken pakoda. They lied, about the cook that cook is south Indian, when i asked them to call him, he was kashmiri. Overall, I found the experience to be a waste of money and would not recommend this place. P.s. The person who was serving was humble and the person was at the billing counter was rude.
