A nice place with such a great attention given to details. They have there own customized cutlery, c'mon. A great ambiance with such beautiful decor at such prime location. Nicely designed. The owner himself served us and I would say his approach towards customer was really nice. I liked the way he made us all comfortable from the moment we entered the house. Other than him one more staff member also attended us with good positive behavior. I liked there hospitality. And thank you for your complementary coffees. Moving towards the main thing - the food. While presenting such a fancy menu with a plethora of options made us confused with what should we order. Then on there recommendation ordered a Harrissa Pizza with a skeptical face, but finally we really liked it. With this we also order a wrap which was also really good. A good value for money. I am hoping to try there other food options too and I think it would be worth it. Ita great we are having such nice food outlets here in Kashmir with such wide and unconventional range of food in a good and cosy atmosphere, and on the top with such positive and professional service. I would highly recommend this place both for family and friends gathering. Even you can come and enjoy a few moments of peace alone with yourself here with good cup of coffee. And also the...
Read moreWhen i heard about this place.. was very excited and was looking forward to pay a visit at Jhelum Cafe with family.
Loved the concept and ambience.. bright and filled with positive vibes. A place to visit with friends and family... it's quite spacious too to have a small party or an event.
The Menu is quite extensive and have interesting choices to choose from. A variety of Kashmiri and western cuisine fusion dishes which makes this cafe stand out from the rest.
Coming to the most important part which is the taste and quality of the dishes that are served here.. it sure kept the excitement alive as the dishes we ordered were quite amazing and delicious.
Would highly recommend to try out their sandwiches and pizzas.. and yes their deserts.. just outstanding!!!
Unfortunately we couldn't try out other things as we got so full.. but there's always a next time. I'm sure the rest of the dishes on the menu won't disappoint. :)
The service was decent and had absolutely no complaints in this department.
The prices are reasonably set for the quality of the food served and for the ambience and service.
To sum up in a few words.. if your in Srinagar.. would HIGHLY RECOMMEND to visit Jhelum cafe, and i will visit...
Read moreJehlum Café is ideal as ever; what many cafés have tried and failed at in Kashmir is space organistion, or cultural protrayal. But this café is different, I am not sure if people can see it, but I can feel the hardwork, or the soul that was put into making this cafe.
It has just enough cultural touch, nothing too over or unorgininal. Someone actually painted the ceilings, did a lot of original work. Very detailed and skillful. Also, four amazing portraits of four core Mosque's that blend withing the walls like they're a part of the whole ensemble.
The distance between tables is perfect, you don't feel intimidated by other people, it feels like you're in a kiosk and other people are inexistant. That really matters to me. Most cafés aren't mindful of the fact that to some people it is a mental turmoil to sit too close to a table. Whether they did think of it or not, it still instills a sense of relief.
And of course the staff is incredibly pleasent and the food original. This café is one of a...
