Disappointing Experience.
I visited Ying Yang with high expectations but my experience was marred by the manager's arrogance and lack of hospitality.
The food was not the issue, but the manager's behavior was appalling. When we politely requested an additional spoon, he became agitated, refused to provide it, and justified his actions by citing a bizarre policy of only serving one spoon per plate. This excuse seemed like a thinly veiled attempt to hide their cutlery shortage.
I find it particularly ironic that I, an advocate for reducing plastic cutlery usage, was expected to share a single spoon with my dining companion. This not only defies logic but also highlights the manager's inflexibility and lack of consideration for his customers' needs.
What struck me as particularly concerning was the manager's discriminatory behavior towards non-local customers. His rudeness and hostility made us feel unwelcome and disrespected.
What's even more shocking is that I'm not the only one who has experienced the manager's rudeness. Reviews dating back two years mention the same issues - arrogance and poor treatment of customers. The fact that nothing has changed since then reveals a disturbing lack of concern for customer satisfaction and a refusal to learn from feedback. It's clear that the manager is not committed to making improvements or providing a positive experience for his patrons.
It's a shame, as I can only assume the chef works hard to create decent food, but is hindered by the manager's toxic attitude. Until the management addresses this issue, I would advise potential customers to think twice before visitin

The way their ''CHICKEN CHOWMIN" looks is tasty in it's own. They usually don't have the chilli chutney Available all the time which I like to have with their momos, they mostly provide the powdered chilli chutney with them and when you ask the waiter to get the chilli chutney, he sheepishly giggles and rushes back to kitchen, which also makes this restaurant a Comedy Central, but overall a very good taste at a very reasonable price.
PS: you will be surprised with the quantity they provide with the Full Plate Chowmin for Rs 180, which I believe 3 people can share.
Also, the cashier probably the owner also is very...
Read moreA very small restaurant located 250 meters from Hotel Jehangeer, just after crossing Budshah Bridge (if you are coming from Hotel Jehangeer towards Lal Chowk.) serves an excellent Tibetan dish called "Thokpa" which essentially is Noodle soup served very hot with a generous topping of mutton or chicken. Unfortunately they've stopped the mutton Thokpa which was my favourite. The Thokpa has be become hot and spicier over the years but I love it just the same. Its a real treat in winter. Their Momos (especially the steamed ones) are very good. The best part about this preparation is the extra hot sauce which just complements the Momos perfectly! The host/owner is welcoming and humble. Overall, my own little Freddy's joint in a secret place...
