Mummy Please — Restaurant in Jammu and Kashmir

I recently visited this restaurant and unfortunately, my experience was far from satisfactory.

To start with the positives, the ambience was quite nice — the place had a pleasant atmosphere and seemed well-maintained. However, that’s where the good things ended.

The service was very poor. When we arrived, no one paid attention to us for a long time. It took over 20 minutes before someone even came to take our order, which was quite frustrating.

As for the food, I ordered the biryani, which was priced at ₹160 per plate, but it was nowhere close to what a biryani should be. It came with just one small piece of chicken, an oily pile of rice that looked more like a fried pulao than biryani, and a tiny serving of what they called raita, which didn’t taste like raita at all. There was no onion salad, which is usually a basic complementary item with biryani. The food was extremely oily and unhealthy, and given the taste and quality, it certainly wasn’t worth the high price.

I didn’t try the other food items because, as they say, first impression is the last impression. It wouldn’t be fair of me to say all their dishes are bad based only on this one experience, so this review is specifically about the biryani, which I hope helps others make an informed choice.

Overall, despite the good ambience, the poor service, overpriced menu, and substandard biryani make it hard for me to recommend this place, at least for biryani lovers. I hope they improve their food quality and service...

I recently dined at Mummy restaurant near Ghanta ghar, and unfortunately, my experience left much to be desired. The establishment's decision not to provide the menu before ordering, citing overpricing concerns, was quite off-putting. It became evident during the billing process when the menu was brought to the table, seemingly to justify their prices. This tactic felt deceptive and undermined trust in the restaurant's practices.

Adding to the disappointment was the unacceptable behavior exhibited by the staff, who seemed to expect a tip regardless of the quality of service. This unprofessional attitude further tainted the dining experience.

However, the most significant letdown was the food itself. Despite the high prices, the quality was abysmal. Dishes were subpar, lacking flavor, freshness, and presentation. It's regrettable to see such a disregard for culinary excellence in a restaurant that prides itself on its pricing strategy.

I recently had an extremely disappointing experience at Mummy please. Despite having heard good things about this place, my visit was ruined by the appalling behavior of one of the staff members.

From the moment I walked in, I was met with rudeness and a complete lack of professionalism. The staff member was dismissive, unhelpful, and seemed to go out of their way to be unpleasant. When I politely asked for assistance with my order, I was met with an eye roll and a condescending attitude. This kind of behavior is completely unacceptable and made me feel unwelcome and uncomfortable throughout my visit.

As someone who values good service and a pleasant dining experience, I was shocked and disheartened by the treatment I received. The management clearly needs to address the conduct of their employees and ensure that customers are treated with respect.
