Nathu's Sweet — Restaurant in Jammu and Kashmir

I recently visited this restaurant in Katra, and the experience was nothing short of disappointing. The staff and owner were incredibly impolite from the start. What really caught me off guard was being asked to pay the full bill before I could even place my order. This unusual practice immediately made me feel uneasy about their trust in their customers.

After paying, the confusion only got worse. No one bothered to guide me on who to hand the receipt to in order to get my food. It was frustrating trying to navigate this on my own, especially with the indifferent attitude of the staff.

To top it off, even after paying in advance, I was denied a water bottle unless I went back to the counter in the middle of my meal. This kind of service is unacceptable, and it was clear that customer care was not a priority here.

The food itself was average at best, but honestly, that’s not even the main issue. The way this restaurant operates is appalling. I’ve dined at the Nathu branch in Delhi, and it’s far superior in every aspect—this place could really learn a thing or two from them.

I can't help but feel that many of the positive reviews and ratings for this place are fake or paid. During my visit, it was evident that none of the other customers were happy with the service either.

When my sister politely asked staff to bring food fast as we were hungry since morning, the staff replied rudely "time lagega". Owner is worse than staff, doesn't talk politely.

Overall, I would strongly advise against dining here. There are much better places in Jammu where you’ll be treated with respect and enjoy a decent meal. Save yourself the hassle and choose...

Unhygienic food standards. We went for the breakfast at their restaurant and they were very rude. I ordered 4 items and when i checked the bhatura has a hair in it I was with the family and I asked the manager that what are your standards of cooking and what kind of food you are serving. He was not ready to agree to his mistake and bluntly replied "baal hj to hai aa jata hai khana bnate huye”. I just wanted to understand is it ok if the food has hair in it and they are ok to serve this kind of food without a regret. And why there is no food quality check this is serious. Rude staff, Owner is even worst. They will ask you to get the token first in the middle of your meal. When you politely ask them to bring food faster. I don't think this is even a "Nathu's Sweets franchises". Because never faced such situations in other franchises. Owner asked me to get the token and sit, food will come but after sitting there for 15-20 minutes I enquired about food, staff said when did you order??
