Uma Dosa Plaza — Restaurant in Jammu and Kashmir

This place is famous for their south indian meal but to be honest once you see them making the food you will definitely choose not to eat that. This place is just behind the Boys High sec school gandhinagar and near the Dusshera ground. The price is average. Taste wise also average but the main thing starts when you order for dine in they take like 15-20 to serve you your order but when you ask them to pack it they taste ,5-10 min. The sitting arrangement is like 2 out of 10. The street side Dhaba has a more decent sitting arrangement. When you enter the sitting area you will feel a pungent smell in the atmosphere. One of my friends loves south india food and according to her. This restaurant cooks the best south indian cuisine taste wise. But my personal experience while seeing them cooking isn't good. I visted this place 2-3 times but due to the lack of hygienic sense of them. I will say I choose not to visit this...

Provides a good taste. If you are looking for South Indian food at decent price this is the place to go.

It is run by south indian people but don't assume that here you'll be getting an authentic south Indian experience or at least something at par with it. It is a basic dining area setup, focussed only in quick service rather than experience.

Fell short against places like Saravana Bhawan or Udupi, which actually provide an authentic taste of south India to the rest of Indians.

SERVICE

They are short staffed at times which is again evident from their timings. They usually open at 2pm and go upto 10pm daily.

Accessibility and Affordability

Right behind Apsara Theatre so pretty accessible, with ample amount of parking space.

Here prices are decent so the cost for 2 will be between ₹200-300 if you're here for dosa's only.

In the name of vegetables only bottle gourd was there in the Sambhar forget carrots, okra, aubergine and drum stick(which is must for an authentic sambhar).

SERVICE

Service persons are lost, tend to mix orders every now and then. And when confronted won't accept their mistake at all.
