Prana Bar & Kitchen — Restaurant in Jharkhand

I earlier had a 5 star rating for this place. I am now bringing it down to 1 star. Service, which was its biggest strength, has now become utterly pathetic. We had to wait for 20mins just for the waiter to come to take the order, despite requesting 3-4 times for the same.

Drinking water even was neither asked for nor offered until we specifically ordered for it after the starters arrived.

Speaking of the food and drinks, we had to send back 1 drink and 2-3 items of the food as well. The drink, which was supposed to be a cocktail was actually a mocktail since it had almost zero alcohol despite being billed as a rs 500 cocktail.

Starter(grilled chicken) was extremely dry, rubbery and overcooked. They replaced it, after complaining, with another starter which was also not good. The second starter we ordered was a chilli prawn... Rs 620 for 6 tiny pcs of prawns is quite frankly extortion. Ridiculous!!!!

Later for the main course, we had ordered a pizza which again was soggy and undercooked,which had to be sent back again.

It was one of the worst dining experiences i have experienced in a loooong time. Prana used to be one of my most favourite places in Ranchi. Its really sad to see what it has become.

Needless to say, I probably wont visit again, and neither will I...

Rooftop service(bar) is good(main reason Prana gained popularity) but there is no privacy whatsover, so come with friends but not good for a date. The restaurant's ambience (the floor below the bar) is one of the best in ranchi but that ends there. I visited this restaurant just two days back and the staff was so unprofessional. You had to ask again and again for little things like water, napkin, bowl, spoon. The waiters have not been properly trained. The starters and appetisers are good but overly expensive( rs 310 for a simple Drums Of Heaven 6 tiny pieces 😨). There is no variety in the veg menu, only two three dishes. I ordered veg kadhai and sadly the capsicum amd beans were raw. After dining I went to the manager to advice him politely to improve but neither the manager nor the waiter were accepting the critique. I mean I have no problem if you take 500 or even 600 for a good meal but provide a good service and excellent taste. Don't know how there are so many 5 star reviews. I gurantee most of them are paid. Never going there again anytime soon. Save your money and go to restaurants like The Kav, kaveri, jashn, krsna, etc, they are a lot...

We were supposed to head somewhere else, but fate led us to this amazing rooftop gem. The ambiance was fantastic, well-designed with a chill vibe. Since the lounge chairs were taken, we snagged some high chairs adorned with a striking Buddha headpiece that added a unique touch.

The rooftop setting was perfect, especially with the IPL games streaming live, a fantastic bonus. We kicked off our evening with some incredible cocktails, and I have to rave about the bartenders - truly top-notch talent. The Berry Coconut Daiquiri was an absolute standout, bursting with flavor.

For starters, we indulged in the chef’s special Mushroom Tart, which was a delicious treat, and the Mediterranean chicken skewers were equally delightful, packed with taste.

Everything was going so well until we hit a little snag with dessert - the gulab jamun custard. I was really looking forward to it, but it fell flat. They simply paired the gulab jamuns with plain vanilla custard without any twist, leaving it rather flavorless.

Despite this small hiccup, I absolutely loved the place and can't wait to come back...
