The Plant Story Restaurant — Restaurant in Jodhpur

I'm from Mumbai and I visited jodhpur a couple of days back, looking forwards to spend my evening at an amazing rooftop.. I found this place on Zomato. I couldn't resist myself and headed my way to this restaurant. Staff: We were welcomed by Mr. Khush (Manager). He guided us on our way to rooftop sitting. The other staff were also quite polite and gave us suggestion to what can be best served to us as per our taste.

Ambience: Undoubtedly I was amazed how large is the area occupied for this restaurant. It was a three storey building with indoor as well as rooftop option. My walk towards indoor, 1st floor was pretty was exiting due to its planters placed on walls on each floor. The indoor had an amazing entrance with bar and huge sitting area. They have planters placed in copper tubes pipe and also have a huge tree within the indoor which gives a great feeling and sense of connectivity with the nature. They have raised wooden flooring as you move forward and amazing ceiling work done with hanging planters. Comfortable sitting with good music.

Rooftop Ambience: The rooftop is just amazing, using minimal colours of white and blue resembling the culture of Jodhpur city. The flooring will amaze you as they have placed while Granules on flooring. One can even sit with bare foot and enjoy the feeling of sea. I genuinely did that and it feels great. They have amazing chandelier placed in the entire rooftop with fairy lights. The soul felt lighter after entering this space.

Food: We ordered for Mocktail: Strawberry kiwi martini: The taste was tangy and gave a flavour of kala katta and kiwi.

Traingle Punch( TPS special) - Highly recommend Honestly I never had a drink like this. It has three layers of strawberry at top, mango in middle and blue lagoon in the bottom. It took my heart at it first sip.

Starters - TPS special pasta: The pasta was well cooked with mixture of 2 sauces, red and white, served with a garlic bread. It had Olives and other ingredients mixed with cheese graded on the top.

Cheese Chilly french fries : The dish is heavy for the stomach as quality is good and quality is outstanding. The fries were crunchy and soft within, mixed with sauces and garnished with cheese at top.

Mains: Chinese sizzlers: This sizzler has a good quantity of noodles, spring rolls, and Manchurian balls on top of noodles. It gave a perfect taste of Chinese cuisine. The spring roll was perfectly fried for crunchy layers for the outer layers.

Dessert: Sizzling Brownie: The brownie was perfect with vanilla icecream on top and hot + soft brownies In the bottom with chocolate...

"The Plant Story" is a nice place to greet & meet with your friends & family BUT only if you are not planning to have a food there. So I visited this place on planning to spend a nice evening by having a good food. After my ordering process they served me dish (Paneer Taco) of a STALE quality with false authenticity of dish (which made me really sad). As regarding to this problem firstly I tried to inform this to the waiter (who took my order) but he was busy with the upcoming night's dinner party arrangement (as he earlier told me during taking my order) so he ignored me (very unprofessional), after that I called for the manager to informe this issue and he was sorry about it. After this he went to the kichen, from where he came to my table and he was really sorry this time for especially not able to repeat the same order because of the lack of ingredients for that same dish (really disappointing & again unprofessional). So he tried to solve this problem by selling me another dish which I refused and requested him to adjust something on bill, which Thankfully he considered it and didn't add that dish on my bill. Another disappointment is that the dishes on Menu are really OVERPRICED as according to the quality and taste of food. So hereby I would like to describe the Three stars for this place. ★ Nice ambiance with good atmosphere. ★ Good seating arrangements specially for large group and gatherings. ★ Manager was polite and solved my issue. ... Taste - 1.5/5 Servicing - 3/5 Ambiance - 4/5 ... Simply understand this that the People of Jodhpur are intelligent enough to know the authenticity of food's taste & quality, so try to bring that in your Food.
